My favorite aspect of travel has always been the stories you come home with. My husband and I (and now our son) book vacations that we know will be memorable — not just to see the same landmarks that everyone always wants to see, but to experience life as a local, to feel immersed in the culture and to eat and drink all the things! We were both educators for over a decade, so we are not always able to travel in luxury, but I've perfected the art of an incredible vacation on a budget, and I'm happy to share that with you!
