Day 1: Historic center & Chapultepec

Start at the Zócalo (main square), visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and explore Templo Mayor, the ancient Aztec ruins.

Grab breakfast at a local café or find some chilaquiles or tamales.

Head to Palacio de Bellas Artes to see its stunning architecture and possibly catch a cultural performance.

Explore nearby Alameda Central Park.

Have dinner at a traditional restaurant in the historic center, offering dishes like mole poblano or tacos al pastor. Pair it with a mezcal flight to fully experience the flavors of Mexico.

Day 2: Coyoacán & Frida Kahlo's house

Visit the Frida Kahlo Museum (Casa Azul) early to beat the crowds and learn about her life and art. Walk around Coyoacán's colorful streets and visit the historic Coyoacán Market for lunch.

Take a trajinera (colorful boat) ride through the Xochimilco canals, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy the floating gardens and maybe buy some snacks or drinks from passing vendors.

Return to the city and explore the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or Condesa. Visit Mercado Roma, where you can find everything from traditional Mexican dishes to international cuisine, along with craft beers, wines and gourmet desserts. Mercado Roma is a popular spot among locals and tourists alike, offering a vibrant atmosphere where people can enjoy quality food and beverages in a casual and lively setting.

Day 3: Teotihuacan & Anthropology Museum

Take a morning trip to Teotihuacan to explore the ancient Pyramids of the Sun and Moon.

Climb the pyramids for breathtaking views of the Avenue of the Dead.

Have lunch at a local restaurant near Teotihuacan, trying dishes like pulque (a traditional Mexican alcoholic beverage) and barbacoa (slow-cooked meat).

Return to Mexico City and visit the National Museum of Anthropology to learn about Mexico's rich indigenous cultures.

Spend the evening relaxing or exploring a neighborhood like Polanco for upscale dining options.

Day 4: Modern Mexico City

Explore Mercado de la Merced, one of the largest markets in Mexico City, to experience local food and culture.

Visit Chapultepec Park and explore Chapultepec Castle for panoramic views of the city.

End your trip with a memorable dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city skyline, or enjoy people watching on the patio at Contramar!
