Curator’s statement
Less than an hour from NYC, you can arrive at Pendry Natirar, which feels like a world away. The beautiful countryside estate feels both homey and luxurious, and provides the perfect weekend, or even one-night escape for those pressed for time. Upon arrival at the property's gates, I instantly felt transported to the English countryside.

The Pendry Natirar recently opened last fall after the Pendry team revived and recreated what once was the King of Morocco's estate. They incorporated modern amenities into the design of the rooms, common spaces and sumptuous spa — while still embodying many aspects of the home's original charm.

The property's crown jewels are the spa and dining facilities. We'll get to the spa in a moment, because that deserves a separate moment to shine! The farm-to-table cuisine is spectacular, which highlights the property's commitment to using locally grown and sourced ingredients and elements. While there are a couple of options on site, the main dining outlet, Ninety Acres, was truly a memorable experience. While the menu changes by season, one of our favorites was a decadent pretzel ice cream sundae.

Back to the spa. The space is serene and filled with all the facilities you'd expect. There is a steam room, sauna, cozy treatment rooms and indoor pool — and others you'd not expect, including a peaceful salt room that we could have spent hours in. If you visit the spa, don't miss the "Tranquil Dreams Ritual" treatment — trust me, you will be your most relaxed self in no time!

The hotel rooms are peaceful. Their designis on the simpler side, but all include comfortable beds, large soaking tubs, and most have views of the expansive property. Because of Fora's perks, we were fortunately upgraded to a one-bedroom suite. It was fully equipped with a living area, wet bar, andeven an extra three-quarter bath-plenty of room for a multi-friend trip, or a family (did I mention there's a kids club?!)

Speaking of kids club, while I would definitely suggest this property is geared towards adults, there are definitely amenities available for children. Similar to other Pendry and Montage brand hotels, Natirar offers family-friendly amenities. There is a kids club for those five and older. There are activities including farm visits, cooking classes and Compass Sports (which hosts and provides access to biking, hiking, fishing and many other onsite/nearby activities). In the warmer months, there is also a pool, which has food/drink service.

Need to know
While the New Jersey area the resort is located within is beautiful, The Pendry Natirar is the main attraction in the area. Therefore, I'd plan to stay on-site for dining during your stay.
