The 9 Best Hotels in Costa Rica
Curator’s statement

In August of 2024, I had the amazing opportunity to join Fora on a FAM trip to Costa Rica. During my visit, I toured some incredible hotels, swam in crystal-clear waters, sipped fresh coconut water straight from the source, and practiced yoga with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. This was my third time visiting Costa Rica, and every time I return, I’m swept up in the same pura vida energy that makes this place so special. Costa Rica is a destination that truly has something for everyone—whether you’re an adventurer or simply looking to unwind. It's no surprise that it was named Travel + Leisure's Destination of the Year for 2024. Check out some of my favorite spots below, and let's start planning your unforgettable trip to this beautiful country!

Need to know

Keep in mind that Costa Rica has a distinct rainy season and dry season. While it's a fantastic year-round destination, my favorite time to visit is between December and April, when the weather is at its best. With the country's diverse and stunning landscapes, I recommend starting your adventure in the La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area for 3-4 nights to explore the lush rainforest and natural hot springs. Then, head to the beach for 4-5 nights of pure relaxation by the ocean.
