The Disneyland Hotel has been open since 1955. It has gone through many transformations over the years but despite its changes, it has not lost its magical touch. Situated on the west side of the amusement park, the Disneyland hotel is a four-minute walk to the Downtown Disney Monorail entrance that leads you straight inside Disneyland Park stopping in Tomorrowland. The other option is to take a 12-minute walk through Downtown Disney taking you to the entrance of either Disneyland Park or California Adventure Park.
There are 930 rooms, 60 suites and 344 villas at the Disneyland Hotel. The hotel is broken down into four buildings shaped like a rectangle on the Disneyland Hotel property.
Fantasy Tower - The main lobby where you check in and valet your car. There are two gift shops in this building (Disney’s Fantasia shop and Small World Gifts and Sundries).
Adventure Tower - Left (west) of the Fantasy Tower. This is where I stayed and had views of the Disneyland Park fireworks display. You can turn on your TV to hear the music that plays during the show. This tower is the closest to the security entrance to Downtown Disney and the theme parks. It is less than a minute's walk. The Concierge lounge is located in this tower on the 11th floor.
Frontier Tower - North of the Fantasy Tower. This is furthest from the security entrance to Downtown Disney and the theme parks. The pools are between the two towers.
The Villas /Discovery Tower - Located to the right (east) of Fantasy Tower. This is where Disney Vacation Club members are able to book their stay; although it is not exclusive to DVC members. They offer Duo Studios, Deluxe Studios and one, two and three bedroom villas.
