Sailing in the MSC Yacht Club on the Seashore was a luxurious experience that elevated the entire cruise from start to finish. Imagine a private sanctuary within the larger cruise ship, where every detail is tailored to your comfort and preferences. From exclusive spaces to dedicated service, the Yacht Club offers a truly elevated, stress-free experience. It is ideal for cruisers seeking luxury, exclusivity and personalized treatment.
Upon arrival, Yacht Club guests receive VIP treatment right from embarkation with priority check-in, bypassing the usual lines and heading straight to the Yacht Club boarding lounge area. As we entered, we were served champaign, mimosas, cookies and other tasty snacks and refreshments. This is where we also received our stateroom cards, Yacht Club wristbands and instruction on what to expect and how to access the various Yacht Club amenities.
Afterwards, we were escorted onto the ship and warmly welcomed by our butler, who manages everything from luggage handling to unpacking, should we choose. This personal attention is just the beginning of the Yacht Club’s signature service, as butlers and concierge staff are available 24/7 to help with any needs.
When we arrived in our cabin, a Deluxe Balcony Suite, it felt like a private escape with all the elegance and comforts you’d expect from a luxury retreat at sea. Walking in, I was struck by how spacious and beautifully designed it was-the tones were warm yet modern, creating an immediate feeling of relaxation.
The bathroom had luxury touches throughout, too. Plenty of marble, high-end bath products and a large shower with fantastic water pressure. It had both a handheld shower head with hose and rainfall shower head, making it feel like a five-star hotel room! Plush slippers and bathrobes are provided.
The bed was beyond comfortable! Having stayed in non-Yacht Club MSC staterooms previously, the mattress and bedding were an obvious upgrade.
The contents of the minibar are included and can be customized. Our suite even had a Nespresso coffee machine.
There was an ample amount of closet space, and a personal passcode-secured safe for storing any valuables.
The real showstopper was the balcony. It was generously sized, and each time I stepped out, I felt like I had my own private view of the ocean stretching endlessly before me. I spent countless hours out there, either sipping morning coffee or enjoying the gentle evening breeze.
Another standout feature of the Yacht Club is the private pool deck, complete with cabanas, a hot tub, a full bar and buffet. Unlike the bustling main decks, this serene retreat is exclusively available to Yacht Club guests, providing a tranquil space to relax and enjoy panoramic views. It’s an ideal spot for those who want the cruise experience without the crowds. Whether lounging with a book, swimming or indulging in a cocktail served by the attentive staff.
The Premium Extra Drink Package is a valued benefit of the MSC Yacht Club. You can indulge in a diverse selection of beers, cocktails, wines, premium spirits and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.
Dining in the Yacht Club restaurant is another luxurious perk. Each meal felt like dining at a fine restaurant, with a diverse selection of gourmet dishes, a sommelier-curated wine list and exquisite service. They are more than willing to cater to personal dietary preferences, ensuring a memorable culinary experience. Plus, with private dining available for all three meals, there’s no need to plan around busy buffet lines or crowded dining rooms with a set dining time.
If wanting to experience the ship’s specialty dining restaurants for a surcharge, the Yacht Club concierge will handle the reservations.
If you are looking to enjoy a meal in your suite or indulge in a late-night snack, The Yacht Club offers an around-the-clock room service menu and no additional charges for the food or delivery.
The Top Sail Lounge is located directly beneath the Yacht Club restaurant, accessible via the striking Swarovski crystal staircase. This exclusive venue offers a full-service bar alongside a curated selection of gourmet finger foods and treats. During our cruise, we spent a significant amount of time in this welcoming space. You can enjoy live music and even indulge in an authentic high tea experience. Furthermore, it features an outdoor terrace furnished with premium, comfortable seating.
The exclusivity of the Yacht Club also extends to private elevators and priority access to shows (reserved seating), and activities.
Depending on your cruise itinerary and dates, MSC offers Yacht Club exclusive, elevated shore excursions that can be booked before or while sailing.
For guests looking for pampering and relaxation, the MSC Aurea Spa is easily accessible, and Yacht Club guests receive special access to spa facilities. The Yacht Club also offers a free thermal suite-a peaceful retreat with saunas, steam rooms and relaxation areas for unwinding after a day of excursions. The Yacht Club Concierge will arrange any spa treatment appointment(s) on your behalf.
A top personal reason we continue sailing with MSC Cruises is the visit to Ocean Cay. Ocean Cay is MSC’s private island in the Bahamas, designed as a marine reserve with plenty of pristine beaches and activities.
When we arrived at Ocean Cay this time as Yacht Club guests, we were whisked away to an exclusive area on the island via a tram. There was a dedicated beach and exclusive amenities waiting for us. We booked a cabana before our sailing. With a private cabana, you have a shaded, cozy spot all to yourself, right by the clear Bahamian waters. This provides the ultimate relaxation, with sun loungers, comfortable seating and even a small table and cooler to enjoy refreshments.
The exclusive service continues, as the marvelous staff bring you drinks, snacks or even a refreshing towel throughout the day. The MSC Ocean Cay Yacht Club experience, especially with a private cabana, takes relaxation and exclusivity to the next level!
And if you’re in the mood to explore beyond the cabana, Ocean Cay offers activities. From snorkeling, paddleboarding and nature walks, to meals and drinks served at the Yacht Club exclusive restaurant, Ocean House.
Our sailing docked in Ocean Cay overnight, offering evening activities including lively music, dancing and firepits on the beach. The Lighthouse show in the evening should not be missed. It makes for a magical way to end the day!
At the end of our sailing, we enjoyed one last breakfast at the Yacht Club Restaurant. We received priority disembarkation while being escorted by our butler to the cruise ship’s exit. It was very difficult to say good-bye to this amazing cruise experience!
Need to know
Along with the Seashore, the following MSC ships offer the exclusive Yacht Club Experience: MSC Bellissima, MSC Divina, MSC Euribia, MSC Fantasia, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Preziosa, MSC Seascape, MSC Seaside, MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview, MSC Splendida, MSC Virtuosa, MSC World Europa and the MSC World America.
These ships offer itineraries all over the globe, ranging from 3–29 nights.
Depending on your preferred sailing experience and vacation budget, the Yacht Club offers staterooms ranging from the Interior Suite to The Owner’s Suite. All the Yacht Club suites include the exclusive ship areas and amenities.
The Yacht Club is not adults-only. We saw only a few children in the Yacht Club during our sailing, but families would find the special services and exclusive areas beneficial.
