Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Jen to book your trip.

Whether you choose to stay in the old rectory, schoolhouse, or convent, each room at Hotel Peter and Paul New Orleans features antique and locally designed furnishings – meaning no two rooms are the same. In the schoolhouse, you can select a room with a clawfoot bathtub, or a loft room with a sleeping mezzanine up a spiral staircase. The most rarefied rooms are in the rectory, where you’ll find such delights as a canopy bed or floor-to-ceiling windows. Choose rooms in the convent for an extra serene and tranquil stay.

When you’re ready to play, The Elysian Bar offers a variety of distinct, cozy spaces with unexpected touches of grace and beauty. You can, of course, order a classic New Orleans Sazarec, or a La Louisiane, but their in-house builds offer cocktails both refreshing and unique. And if you find yourself staying through aperitivo hour, the dinner menu offers delicious takes on southern classics. When you're ready to explore the city, the Marginy neighborhood offers endless treasures within easy walking distance. Stroll past colorfully painted creole cottages on your way to one of the too-many-to-mention live music venues and low-key bars/restaurants

Hotel Peter and Paul New Orleans opened its doors in 2018, but the earliest parts of the original church property were built in the 1860s. The spirit and design of the hotel celebrates its past, and from the moment you check in, you’ll feel connected to the history and the people of Marginy. A map provided at reception pairs with a twenty-minute, self-guided audio tour featuring the stories and voices of locals who once lived, worked, studied and worshiped here.

Need to know

Hotel Peter and Paul New Orleans offers one of the city’s most unique stays for a romantic getaway, a birthday celebration or a destination event (Did I mention that the great hall of the former church has been lovingly restored, 19th-century stained glass and all?) Enjoy stellar service, one-of-a-kind accommodations featuring antique and artisan furnishings throughout - all in a historic location that's home to some of the best in New Orleans’ design and musical traditions.
