The resort is conveniently located less than an hour away from Cancun International Airport, allowing for a quick and hassle-free transfer to your destination.

• Grounds: The resort offers meticulously landscaped grounds that are a pleasure to explore. Take leisurely strolls along winding paths, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers. The expertly designed landscaping creates a serene and picturesque atmosphere, providing ample opportunities for relaxation and appreciation of the natural beauty. As you wander through the grounds, keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife that calls the resort home. You might encounter iguanas basking in the sun, capybaras grazing or a variety of colorful birds flitting through the trees. The main pool offers a lively atmosphere with a DJ playing music, and engaging activities throughout the day such as water activities such as foam parties, catering to those who prefer a more social and energetic experience. If you prefer a more tranquil experience, there are a variety of other pools located throughout the property. For those who crave the soothing embrace of the ocean, the resort provides convenient beach access along its entire coastline, complete with inviting chairs and loungers for ultimate relaxation. A unique saltwater pool seamlessly integrated into the sea offers a distinctive and invigorating experience, harmonizing the pleasures of both the pool and the ocean. Day beds are available for rental at pool and beach locations.

• Dining: The El Dorado Royale, a sprawling resort complex, offers guests a variety of dining experiences across its three main areas: Villas, Casitas and Generations. These areas are all conveniently connected by a single path, allowing visitors to explore and enjoy the culinary options at each location. During my stay, I found that the Santa Fe Grill, located in the Casitas area, was the best spot for breakfast. Their menu offered a delicious variety of dishes that were perfect for starting the day. La Isla, situated at the main pool, was another great option for breakfast, with a more fast casual atmosphere. For a quick and healthy lunch, Health Bar was my go-to spot. They had a fantastic selection of freshly made juices and smoothies, as well as delicious paninis and wraps. When it comes to dinner, Fuentes and Kumpai are both excellent choices. Each restaurant has its own unique ambiance and menu, offering guests a memorable dining experience. Don’t forget about room service, which is available 24-hours a day, and is just a call away.

Immerse yourself in an oasis of calm as you choose from a diverse menu of rejuvenating treatments designed to restore balance and harmony to your mind, body and soul. For a truly unforgettable experience, I wholeheartedly recommend the Seaside Relaxation Massage. Allow the gentle rhythm of the waves to wash over you as skilled therapists ease away your stress and tension, leaving you feeling completely refreshed and renewed. The combination of the soothing sounds of the ocean and the expert touch of the therapists creates an unparalleled ambiance of serenity and relaxation.

• Excursions: With a prime location, El Dorado is conveniently located within driving distance of many sites. We chose to do a day trip to Isla Mujeres, which included snorkeling, swimming and time to enjoy the island, as well as the sailing to and from the island, and pick up and drop off at the resort. Other popular options are the cenotes, horseback riding, jet skiing or seeing the Mayan ruins.
