The Disney Wish is a stunning, state-of-the-art ship that combines Disney magic with luxurious amenities. The ship’s layout is thoughtfully designed, offering spacious staterooms, a variety of dining options and plenty of entertainment spaces for families. Dining aboard the Wish is exceptional, with options like Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure and Worlds of Marvel, where guests can enjoy immersive themed meals. For adults, there’s Nightingales, a chic piano bar (do try the bubble-topped Stepmother cocktail) and The Rose, an elegant lounge offering signature cocktails. The ship also boasts a full-service spa (Senses Spa & Salon) with an array of treatments, a fitness center and spread-out splash pads and pools for both kids and adults. There is even an infinity pool and bar for the adults - true bliss. With its beautiful décor and family-friendly features, the Disney Wish truly delivers an unforgettable cruising experience.

Onboard, the Disney Wish offers a wide range of entertainment and activities that cater to guests of all ages. Families can enjoy hour-long Broadway-style productions like The Little Mermaid, and there’s even a Marvel Super Hero Academy for young guests. For kids aged 3-11, one of the standout features is the slide that takes them from Deck 3 directly into the Oceaneer Club on Deck 2, a unique experience that kids absolutely love. The ship also has a variety of themed areas like the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge and the AquaMouse, an exciting water ride that incorporates the latest Disney storytelling.

The Disney website undersells the ship-board amenities, so you kind of have to explore the ship to see everything. Throughout the ship, there are also hidden Disney Cinderella and wish-themed "Easter eggs" embedded in the design, such as subtle references to beloved characters and movies, making the ship a treasure trove for Disney fans. These hidden details add an extra layer of magic, rewarding guests with surprises in every corner of the ship.

If it is in your budget, I highly recommend Concierge class for the extra stateroom space, generous amenities (lounge, private sun deck) and quiet location. In general, you will want to book a stateroom away from the high-traffic stairways/elevators or laundry areas to cut down on noise.

I always advise clients to arrive the day before your cruise departs, and stay at a hotel in downtown Orlando to maximize your time here. Even with travel insurance, it’s not worth the stress of worrying you might miss the boat. I prefer to book my clients with the Disney offered transportation from the airport or Orlando as it is the best, most stress-free option.

Pack light on the clothes, as there are washing machines on board, on each floor in the fore or aft section. Definitely pack essentials like sunscreen, medications and laundry detergent because they are marked up on board. Disney ships are fairly casual so no need to worry about dressing to the nines.
Need to know
Before you book shore excursions, I’d recommend checking the Disney site and Google Maps to see where the cruise will dock. If the port is close to a city, you may be able to walk to things; if not you may want to consider arranging a shore excursion (especially if you have littles) or transportation. All of their transportation is reliable, but it may not be a nice van or bus with A/C, as it very much depends on their contract with the local transportation companies.
Before you get to the port, download the Disney Cruise Line app, and make sure you connect with your party if you are in separate staterooms.
The Oceaneer’s Lab and Club have a great setup for kids ages 3-12, and your little one(s) will have a blast. They do NOT feed your kids snacks or meals though, so you need to take that into consideration. Their hours are super accommodating though and are open until midnight most nights, if you have a late dinner or show planned.
