During my stay, I booked a junior suite. It was a spacious and beautifully designed corner room featuring large windows with panoramic views of Dupont Circle. This bright and airy space offers a perfect mix of luxury and practicality. There was a well-appointed sitting area, a fully stocked minibar and an in-room safe for convenience.
The spa-like bathroom was a standout, featuring heated marble floors, a rainfall shower and plush robes and slippers for an indulgent experience. Thoughtful details like an iron and ironing board ensure a seamless stay.

Old Senate Chambers (in the Capitol Building)
Dupont Circle is one of DC’s most dynamic and walkable neighborhoods. It is known for its tree-lined streets, historic row houses, embassies and a lively arts and dining scene. The iconic Dupont Circle Fountain sits at the heart of this bustling roundabout. Locals and visitors gather to read, people-watch or enjoy a coffee from one of the nearby cafés.
The hotel is just steps from the Dupont Circle Metro Station, providing direct access to the National Mall, Capitol Hill and other key attractions. It’s also within walking distance of The Phillips Collection, America’s first museum of modern art. A short walk leads to charming cafés, independent bookshops and boutiques that give the neighborhood a distinctly European feel. The blend of historic architecture and contemporary energy makes it an ideal base for exploring Washington, DC.

The White House
Sites: A behind-the-scenes tour of the Washington National Cathedral provided a rare glimpse into one of DC’s most iconic landmarks. The hidden staircases, breathtaking stained-glass windows and panoramic views from the towers made this tour truly unforgettable. Booking in advance is recommended, as these exclusive tours sell out quickly.
Seeing a show at The Kennedy Center is a must, whether you’re watching a Broadway production, a symphony or a ballet. The world-class acoustics and stunning setting overlooking the Potomac River made this performance a highlight of my trip. Arriving early for a cocktail at the rooftop terrace offers some of the best sunset views in the city.
A tour of the US Capitol Building included stops at the Capitol Rotunda, Statuary Hall and Old Senate Chamber. It provided a fascinating look into American democracy. Booking a tour through your Congressional representative can offer a more personalized experience.
Going to the top of the Washington Monument provided stunning 360-degree views of the city. Reservations are required, and morning visits tend to have fewer crowds and clearer skies.

The National Cathedral
A visit to the National Gallery of Art was an immersive experience, from the Renaissance masterpieces in the West Building to the modern art collections in the East Building. Taking a break at the Sculpture Garden provided a peaceful escape before continuing to explore.
Where to eat and drink: The Pembroke at The Dupont Circle Hotel offers a refined dining experience with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The elegant setting and attentive service made this a standout meal during my stay. House-made pasta and fresh seafood dishes are highly recommended.
Doyle Bar, also located in the hotel, is a sophisticated cocktail lounge. The exclusive Irish-inspired drinks are crafted by a world-champion mixologist. This made it an unforgettable experience. Signature whiskey cocktails and Irish classics were the highlight.
For a casual, health-conscious meal, Bibibop Asian Grill offers gluten-free rice bowls packed with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The sweet potato noodles with marinated steak and sriracha sauce were a great choice.
