Cranmore Mountain: 1 of the Best Ski Resorts in New Hampshire
Curator’s statement

Cranmore Mountain holds a special place in my heart as my children grew up skiing here. It’s the perfect destination for families seeking winter adventures, with everything from the slopes to snow tubing and a mountain adventure park. Cranmore offers endless opportunities for fun and excitement. Additionally, the picturesque town of North Conway, just a mile away, offers an abundance of restaurants, shops and family-friendly attractions, making Cranmore one of the best ski resorts in New Hampshire.

Mountain Overview

Cranmore Mountain is a family-friendly ski lodge in New Hampshire with 60 trails, four terrain parks, seven lifts, an elevation of 2,000 feet and terrain for all abilities.

Ski and snowboard lessons are available in private, half and full-day camps, and night skiing is available on Wednesdays, Saturdays and holidays.

Resort Activities

Tubing Park: 10 lanes of tubing, open weekends and holidays in two-hour increments (children under 42 inches may ride with an adult). Tickets do sell out, so plan ahead!

Mountain Adventure Park: A Giant Swing with a height minimum of 42 inches.

Soaring Eagle Zip Ride: A 700-foot zipline ride (children 38-41 inches may ride with an adult).

Dining

Meister Hut: Located at the summit off of Schneider's run. Take a break from the slopes and enjoy a bite to eat or beverage with amazing mountain views!

Zip’s Pub: Time to replenish your energy after a day on the slopes! With its classic pub offerings and salad options, there’s bound to be something to your liking.

Skimobile Station: A conventional food pavilion located on the second level of the Fairbank Lodge.

Koessler’s Bar and Deck: Enjoy après entertainment on Saturdays, Wednesdays and throughout vacation periods.

Alpine Café and Bar: Head over for craft cocktails and classic tavern fare.

Where to Stay

North Conway Grand Hotel: A family-friendly property boasting indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, a fire-pit, game room, theater room and a variety of bedroom configurations. This resort has consistently been a highlight of our visits to ski lodges in New Hampshire.

Hampton Inn & Suites North Conway: For families seeking water slide fun, this hotel has you covered. With two large slides, a kiddie pool featuring two small slides and an adult-only hot tub, there's plenty of aquatic excitement to go around. It's worth noting that there isn't a traditional hotel pool. Instead, a 5,000-square-foot water park takes its place. Additionally, complimentary breakfast and spacious suites are available for larger families.

Fairfield Inn & Suites North Conway: A newly constructed slope-side to Cranmore Mountain Resort, this property offers a wide range of amenities. Featuring outdoor fire pits, a hot tub, an indoor pool, pickleball facilities, laundry services and complimentary breakfast, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lobby bar serves up craft cocktails and American fare, making it convenient for you to enjoy your time without having to leave the mountain.

Dining in North Conway

Horsefeathers Restaurant & Sports Bar: A local favorite in the heart of North Conway, offering a blend of pub-style dishes and comforting fare. Conveniently located across from the park and the Conway Scenic Railroad, it’s the perfect place to dine. Be sure to request a table on the second floor near the windows for a view of winter ice skating at the pop-up rink in the park.

Muddy Moose Restaurant & Pub: A family-friendly casual dining spot, offering a diverse menu for both adults and children. With lodge-style décor including wooden ceilings and charming moose accents. Reservations are not accepted, so make sure to arrive early to secure your table!
