Curator’s statement
In January of 2024, I did a site inspection at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla. Anguilla invokes relaxation and Four Seasons has located a spectacular piece of land that not only provides beautiful ocean views, but also incredible foliage. This resort is exactly where you need to be if you are looking for unparalleled luxury on an island with some of the best beaches in the Caribbean!

Arriving to Anguilla: There are a few different ways to arrive to Anguilla but the most common way is to fly into Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). From there, you will take a boat shuttle to Anguilla which took us around 30 minutes. The other option is to fly into Anguilla's airport, Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA), on a seven-minute flight from SXM. Be mindful that you do have to go through customs again upon arrival. Once you arrive in Anguilla (either by boat or by plane), you can either catch a taxi (extremely easy right outside of the ferry terminal and readily available), rent a car or the Four Seasons concierge team will make arrangements on your behalf.
Getting to the Hotel: Whether you utilize the taxi, rent a car or have prearranged transportation, the ride will be around 25 minutes. The hotel has Moke Rentals on site and specific room types come with golf car rentals, which makes going without a car feasible on the island! Once you arrive to the resort, you are greeted by an absolutely gorgeous lobby, fantastic staff and a refreshing welcome drink! From that point on, you are in great hands and can officially turn your brain off and let the staff take amazing care of you.
Rooms: Where do I begin? You will not go wrong in any level of room you book at this hotel. Even the standard garden view rooms are at least 600 square feet which provides guests with plenty of room to spread out. We were able to tour their stand-alone villas which come with golf carts (one or two depending on your villa size) to help your group get around the expansive property. The views were absolutely stunning and a family looking to spread out would appreciate the private ensuites with each bedroom and the large sleeping quarters. Complete with a full kitchen and all of the amenities needed to cook (if you wish), or for a chef to come in and prepare a three course meal for the family! These villas truly have it all (pool included) to guarantee a fabulous stay.
Dining: The Four Seasons Anguilla has four restaurants on the property, but my favorite hands down was Salt, simply because of the incredible views. This is probably the most popular restaurant, as they serve their expansive breakfast buffet, as well as dinners. They have a fun beach bar right off of their “hidden” strip of private beachfront that serves up light bites such as tacos, skewers and shareable bites. If you are hanging by the pool, Bamboo Beach Bar and Grill will be your go-to and the lobster rolls were highly recommended by patrons. The resort also has guest chefs flown in and allows them to feature their specialties at one of the restaurants. There is a weekly barbecue that we did not get a chance to see that is also a fan favorite.
Activities: We have to start this section with the world class spa! The spa design in and of itself embodies tranquility and, with a quiet pool on the cliff edge overlooking the ocean, you will feel serene the moment you step in. The resort also hosts a variety of yoga, meditation and fitness classes throughout the property. If you would like to remain active but skip the fitness classes and gym, there is rock climbing and various sport courts on property. For water sports, the sea center has everything you need for water sports and beach equipment. There are some travelers that do not indulge in fitness or laborious activities on vacation (I am with you!), Four Seasons Anguilla offers mixology and cooking classes throughout the week. Also, for the little tots and teens, there are a host of activities offered just for them on the resort, as well as babysitting services for parents that need relaxation by the pool or would like a dinner for just the two of you!
Need to know
This property is an excellent option for couples, families and groups (specific to weddings or corporate events).
In true Four Seasons fashion, this resort takes service to the next level and you will feel whisked away into relaxation the moment you step foot in the lobby.
Anguilla is a tranquil, relaxing island and the resort does offer lots of activities right on property. If you are looking for exploration and walkability to a city center with restaurants and other things to do, this would not be the property for you.
