Two Night Stay at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Indian Wells

The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa is a Marriott Luminous property. It 's categorized as a four star hotel. I have been staying at this resort for the last three years when attending the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament since the location is ideal. It's a direct 10 minute shuttle ride to the Tennis Garden. The shuttle is free and runs every 30 minutes starting at 9:20 am until 9:50 am. The last shuttle back from the Tennis Garden is one hour after the last match.

During this time, the resort is filled with kids, recreational tennis players and professionals. It's fun to people watch and the ambience is full of positive energy and music. The atrium is grand and beautiful. The staff is in the spirit of the tournament, and they are dressed in tournament attire. Additionally, there is a designated information table just for the tournament.

The Place

• Located in the main bar area in the atrium

• This is where live music is being played.

• There is a big screen television where you can watch the tennis matches live. If you have an ear piece from the tournament, it works here too.

• There is also seating between the building and pool area where the outdoor fire pits are located. There are nice couches around the firepit where you can enjoy food and drinks.

This resort is an ideal location when attending the BNP Paribas Open. It has more of a laid back and casual environment. The Renaissance Esmeralda is also a six minute walk or two minute drive from the Indian Wells Golf Resort. There are 36 holes of challenging championship golf and was featured in Golfweek's "Top 20 Courses to Play" in California.
