Hotel in Singapore: Conrad Centennial Singapore
Curator’s statement

Singapore was the perfect destination to start my honeymoon in June 2023. This innovative city has so much to offer, from the unique sights to the top-notch food. It's so clean, I felt like I could eat right off the streets, though don't worry, I did not attempt. For a visit, the best hotel in Singapore is the Conrad Centennial. The location is perfect to be within walking distance of Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands and many museums. What makes this hotel in Singapore even better is 5-star service at an incredible price point.

Service/Amenities

From the moment I arrived at Conrad Centennial Singapore, I was greeted with 5-star service. The door was always held open for us. We never had to touch our bags; every staff member was so kind and friendly and we received a room upgrade right away despite the busy time for the hotel. The staff effortlessly provided anything we wanted. In the morning, we were running late to our complimentary breakfast so there was a line to get into the restaurant, which disappointed us at first until we saw how quickly and efficiently they were seating guests. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our honeymoon, with a wide selection to choose from at the buffet filled with international dishes like dumplings and bao buns as well as some familiar comforts like waffles and hash browns. And then who doesn't love a great outdoor pool with a view?

Room/Design

The room was incredibly spacious, especially not even being a suite! The bathroom had two sinks, a tub and a separate shower with plenty of mirrors. The city view outside was lovely with a view to the iconic Marina Bay Sands hotel. The design was sleek, modern and luxurious. The design of the lobby matches that of the rooms being so open with high ceilings and modern art installations and marble everywhere. It felt very sophisticated, just like the city itself.

Location

Finally, , the downtown location was great for walking to a lot of the sights we wanted to see. Gardens by the Bay is only a 20-minute walk away, and less than that to get a good view of the Spectra light and water show at Marina Bay Sands. The famous Lau Pa Sat hawker stall center was only a 6-minute cab ride away when we wanted to eat the best food for only a few US dollars! There's also Chinatown right there if you want to take your food explorations even further. You seriously cannot go to Singapore without trying all the delicious and inexpensive food!
