Curator’s statement
I recently got to tour the iconic Lanesborough Hotel with several other Fora Advisors on a recent whirlwind London site visit day. Funny enough, I was in London with my family over the Thanksgiving holiday of 2023, and on our flight home, I watched an episode of BBC’s Amazing Hotels which featured the behind the scenes runnings of The Lanesborough. Needless to say, I became obsessed and was thrilled to meet Steven Sheridan, Head of Sales for our site inspection and lunch.

LOCATION:
Ideally located near Hyde Park corner in Knightsbridge and on the edge of the grounds of Buckingham Palace. The hotel is an ideal choice for visitors seeking a luxurious and central stay in the heart of London.
ROOMS:
93 rooms and suites with 16 different room categories. The largest connecting suite can go up to five bedrooms. They're all very opulent in decor; think hand painted wood walls, thick heavy draped beds and antique furniture throughout.
BUTLER SERVICE:
The only hotel in London to offer round-the-clock, dedicated butler service in each room and suite, guests are assured their every need is well served. Guests were just about to arrive in a large suite and we were able to see the elaborate welcome amenities set up by the butler, including gorgeous flower bouquets, elaborate dessert trays and fruit baskets. The Lanesborough butlers will unpack and press your clothing, fill in any shopping or dining request and don’t be surprised to see the butlers in full tuxedo tails walking guests dogs through Hyde Park. You can even order room service for your best furry friend!
SPA:
Recently crowned best London spa for 2023, The Lanesborough Club & Spa is one of London’s most exclusive private members’ fitness and health clubs. Hotel guests enjoy complimentary access to the gym, a hydrotherapy pool, as well as separate male and female saunas and steam rooms. Spa treatments and personal training can be booked upon request. A wide range of fitness classes run weekly and are complimentary for hotel guests. Splash hours are available for families with children under the age of 18.
RESTAURANTS & BARS:
Several onsite options include standard British fare at the Lanesborough Grill as well as hosting a special afternoon tea created in partnership with Netflix for the launch of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The Library Bar is known for its cocktails and has cognacs that date back to the 18th century. All of the onsite restaurants are open to the public with reservations.
Need to know
FINAL THOUGHTS: The Lanesborough is an opulent and extravagant London property but the staff could not have been more welcoming. So while it may look "stuck up" - it truly was anything but. Adding this to my dream vision board to both sell and personally stay.
