Why it’s baby-friendly
Traveling with a baby often presents unique challenges, but the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, made it effortless. The spacious rooms provided plenty of space for a crib and play area, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our little one. The gentle, white-sand beach was perfect for introducing our baby to the ocean. The tranquil atmosphere meant we could truly relax while enjoying the stunning Caribbean views. One standout feature was the shallow walk-in pool area, which allowed our baby to safely splash and play.
Dining options to satisfy every craving
The resort’s culinary offerings exceeded our expectations, with a range of options to suit every palate. Bleuwater, the signature fine-dining restaurant, delivers exquisite seafood dishes with a touch of Caribbean flair. Alloro offers authentic Italian cuisine perfect for a cozy family dinner. The Coconut Cove, a casual beachfront spot, quickly became our go-to for lunch, with its fresh salads, flavorful tacos and refreshing cocktails. Even the in-room dining menu impressed us with its variety and quality — ideal for those nights when we preferred to dine while our baby slept.
Spa serenity
For a moment of indulgence, I treated myself to a massage at the on-site spa. The service was nothing short of exceptional, with skilled therapists creating a deeply relaxing experience. However, the spa facilities could use a touch of modernization to align with the Ritz-Carlton’s otherwise impeccable standards. Despite this, the serene ambiance and top-notch service made it well worth a visit.
Easy access from the East Coast
One of the best aspects of traveling to St. Thomas is the convenience. The island is just a short flight from many East Coast cities, with no passport required for US citizens. This ease of access made the journey with a baby significantly less stressful, allowing us to start enjoying paradise almost immediately upon arrival.
Need to know
The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, proved to be an outstanding choice for our family getaway. With its baby-friendly amenities, excellent dining options and tranquil setting, it’s a destination we’d recommend to any family seeking a luxurious yet low-stress vacation. While the spa facilities may benefit from an update, the exceptional service and overall experience more than made up for it. For East Coast families looking for a slice of Caribbean paradise, this resort is a dream come true.
