Costa Rica: La Fortuna and Guanacaste
Curator’s statement

My husband and I traveled to Costa Rica in July 2023 for our ten year Anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful accommodations plus the hospitality of the staff at both resorts. Both accommodations blended in with nature and had amazing amenities plus food choices, making it a trip to remember!

Fly into Liberia Airport and make your way to Amor Arenal in La Fortuna. The Canyon Casitas are absolutely beautiful with the most wonderful rain shower overlooking the volcano. Enjoy your private hot tub on the amazing private patio, where you feel like you are blended in with the jungle. I recommend staying in La Fortuna for at least three nights. Here are the tours suggested for the area:

Tour: Hanging Bridges + Waterfall + Lunch
Tour: Cano Blanco Sanctuary Expedition

Next, make your way to Guanacaste! Here is a great tour recommendation on the way, where you get to see the amazing Rio Celeste waterfall:

Tour: Adventure Connection: Arenal - Rio Celeste - Guanacaste

Stay at Andaz Papagayo in Guanacaste and get the all-inclusive Package. An ocean-view room is a must! You feel like you are a part of nature, as you can enjoy watching the howler monkeys from your own private patio. The all-inclusive package is amazing because you can thoroughly relax and not have any worries. We enjoyed the outdoor fitness area and the adult pool very much! Here is the tour I recommend when staying in Guanacaste:

Tour: Catamaran Sunset Tour

Travel home from Liberia Airport with the most amazing memories of Costa Rica!

Need to know

I recommend Amor Arenal and Andaz Peninsula Papagayo for a wonderful romantic honeymoon or anniversary trip! It is a diverse region where you get to see the jungle and the beach and there is plenty to do for adventure lovers and those who want complete relaxation!
