Curator’s statement
My two daughters and I did a independent self-drive through Namibia and loved every moment! We drove to Dolomite Camp through Etosha, wildlife viewing on the way in. So fun to stop at the waterholes you never know what you will find!

Gorgeous property. Your room is either facing sunrise or sunset and strung out over a fairly long area. Rides to and from are always available in the golf cart. Rooms are clean, modern, upscale and gorgeous views out to the plains. A true "Lion King" experience, loved just sitting on the deck in the room and watching wildlife below. A peaceful feeling. Food was excellent and served in two areas of lodge. Pool wonderful with same stunning views. Careful of elephants if your self driving keep your distance.
Need to know
We did a self drive and covered all of Namibia in a couple weeks, it was fascinating and Namibia is a true hidden gem! The wildlife viewing is amazing we have driven around Kruger and Mpumalanga area as well as safaris in Tanzania and Kenya and felt Namibia is every bit as exciting! It is easy to drive around and Dolomite Camp has magical views of the sunsets. The lodge has delicious food also, we didn't want to leave!
This is part of our ongoing series on travel to Namibia.
