Location

21c Museum Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati and is a fascinating combination of a modern art museum and a hotel! I loved getting to hear about the history of this building, the stories behind the art, and meet some of the fantastic staff. The art is circulated between all of the 21c properties so there is always something new to admire.

The Rooms

There are over 150 guest rooms in this historic meets modern hotel. Each room includes ample amenities such as free wifi, luxurious bedding, and a bathroom featuring custom tiles by Rookwood pottery. The venue also includes a 24-hour fitness center, on-site spa, valet service and multiple meeting rooms for hosting conferences, banquets or weddings.

Dining

  • The Metropole restaurant is located on the property and named after the original historic hotel. This establishment offers delicious dishes with ingredients sourced from local farmers.

  • Directly across from the street from the hotel you will find Nada - a perfect spot for some fabulous Mexican cuisine.

  • Other places around the city include Otto’s which was the best place for brunch! I had the delicious lemon blueberry pancakes.

  • Findlay Market is a great spot for shopping and of course to eat. There are tons of different cafes and restaurants to choose from. Some of my favorites were The Arepa Place, Goose & Elder, and French Crust!

  • Che is an authentic Argentinian restaurant. We had some of the best empanadas of our lives here and it’s just a couple blocks away from Washington Park.

  • Ford’s Garage has two locations in the area and is a great chain restaurant if you’ve never tried it before. The decor is fun and the food is great!

Activities

  • Take in a show at the Cincinnati Music Hall or Memorial Hall next to Washington Park.

  • Visit the famous hippo Fiona at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

  • Visit Findlay Market to peruse local produce and artisan goods.

  • If museums are your thing check out the Cincinnati Art Museum, American Sign Museum or Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame.

  • Newport Aquarium is technically across the river in Kentucky, but it's an excellent spot for children and marine lovers.

  • Check out VisitCincy.com for local events and festivals.
