Curator’s statement
Katikies Mykonos was such a beautiful place to celebrate 10 years of marriage. The stunning views and chic rooms were accented by the delicious food and attentive staff. If someone told you Mykonos was all clubs and EDM, they have not been to this idyllic side of the island. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for beautiful serenity while only being a few minutes to the center of town.

Katikies Mykonos may truly be heaven on earth. The resort is small and cliff-side, which is more unique on Mykonos than you might think (although the norm in Santorini). The hotel is situated away from the loud beach clubs that Mykonos is famous for, but by no means off the beaten path. There were three restaurants on site and several others nearby. Almost every room is fitted with a balcony and your own private plunge pool. There are also two large pools to give everyone plenty of room. Although at only 35 rooms, it never feels even the slightest bit crowded. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was incredibly spacious.
Breakfast every day is complimentary, but this is beyond any complimentary breakfast you've ever seen. You start with freshly made jams, pastry, and some meat and cheese. Then you can order anything you like, ranging from classic egg scrambles to a Mykonos delight called Milk Pie that you will dream about for weeks to come.
When relaxing by the pool, the wonderful staff is there to refill your water, raise or lower an umbrella or provide you with more towels or drinks. They were attentive without crowding us. The spa was exquisite and the most relaxing part of the trip. The sunset views from your room or some of the public spaces in the hotel were absolutely to die for.
The city center of Mykonos is only about 10-15 minutes by car, so you can pop into town anytime you like.
We will absolutely be back, and I'd recommend anyone looking for a romantic getaway or a moment of zen to book this exceptional property.
Need to know
This hotel would be an idea for couples or a small group of less than 10, as the hotel only has 35 rooms. They do not allow children, so think of this as the perfect romantic getaway. I adore this hotel and the Greek islands in general, so please reach out if I can help you plan your dream trip!
