Boston is a city steeped in American history and brimming with charm. Historic cobblestone streets are lined with restaurants and shops, plus there are a wealth of cultural stops (the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is a favorite). And because of its size and layout, the city is extremely walkable.

Our advisors recently met up in Boston and had plenty to say about their favorite hotels. From Back Bay to Boston Harbor, these hotels offer a range of styles and services for your next visit.

Connect with one of the Fora Advisors mentioned below to be matched with your ideal property in Boston, plus get recommendations for where to eat and what to see.

    The Langham, Boston

gray, gold and blue living space with a doorway to a luxurious bedroom

A Boston icon set in the Financial District, The Langham was originally The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and you can see references to its former life all over the walls. The hotel has more than 250 pieces of art in its collection, wowing guests at every turn.

“Nowhere is the building's history more evident than in Grana, the Italian restaurant in the former bank's grand hall,” Fora Advisor Erica Christie said. “Though the teller's stations are no longer, the bank's seal and clock remain, and the walls are decorated with modernized portraits of past bank presidents.”

Guest rooms and suites are elegant without being pretentious. Subtle patriotic colors pair with gold accents, and bathrooms are decked out in marble. Book a Club room for convenient access to snacks, light meals and beverage service, which comes in handy for families.

The prime location in downtown Boston grants easy access to top sights like Faneuil Hall, the North End and Boston Harbor. But if you feel like staying in, the hotel has an indoor pool, a gorgeous Italian-inspired restaurant (Grana) and The Fed cocktail lounge.

Insider tip: Boston is known for its college scene (MIT, Harvard, Boston University and more), so why not connect with the hotel’s College Concierge to schedule tours and assist with move-ins.

    Fora’s COUTURE by Langham Perks:

    • Hotel credit, daily breakfast for two, welcome amenity, an upgrade and extended check-in/out whenever possible.

    Raffles Boston

Based in Singapore, Raffles is known for its lavish hotels and impeccable service, and Raffles Boston is no exception. The group’s first outpost in North America sits in Boston’s Back Bay area, within easy reach of shopping and dining on Newbury Street, as well as Copley Square and Boston Common.

The sleek tower boasts incredible city views from its rooftop terrace, and you’ll enjoy all the amenities of a luxury hotel, like an indoor pool, a spa and multiple dining venues. Taking luxe to a new level, Raffles Boston has personal shopping and butler services.

“The hotel spares no details in ensuring a luxurious stay: hand-painted wallpaper, regularly refreshed flowers, incredible city views, house cars and butlers,” Fora Advisor Jenna Picton said. “An emphasis on wellness is evidenced by the stunning 20-meter pool, hot tub, sauna, salt room, fitness center (complete with a live plant wall for oxygen) and a gorgeous Guerlain spa.”

Even entry-level rooms clock in at an astounding 400 square feet and are decorated with leather furnishing, muted jewel tones and marble bathrooms. Suites add living areas, and large windows let in plenty of natural light.

The hotel’s public spaces have a traditional feel with modern elements like moody lighting, and you’ll have the convenience of two bars and an on-site restaurant. Don’t miss the library, a private guest space on the ground floor with an exceptional art collection.

“The Newbury has perhaps the best location in Boston,” Fora Advisor Erica Christie said. “If you are lucky enough to be in a room with a fireplace, you can select your wood from a special wood menu and have a fireplace butler assist with tending your fire.”

Rooms and suites have a decidedly airy vibe, with white bedding and upholstered headboards flanked by brass reading lights. If booking a suite, request one overlooking the Public Garden for gorgeous views, and take time to savor a soak in the huge bathtub.
