Things to do in Louisville

Plan for a four day, three night trip. Plan to arrive on Thursday and leave on Sunday.

Budget for a Kentucky Derby Experience

Packages typically start around $5600 and up. The prices will vary depending on type of accommodation or ticket. This will include tickets, accommodation, roundtrip transportation for Churchill Downs and some added gifts and bonuses.

Choosing the Perfect Accommodation for the Kentucky Derby

Accommodation plays a significant role in the overall Derby experience. I would recommend first-class hotels in downtown Louisville, such as The Brown Hotel or The Galt House Hotel. These hotels offer luxurious accommodation and are conveniently located close to Churchill Downs.

Securing Premium Tickets for the Kentucky Derby

There are multiple ticket options and will depend on what type of view you want and your budget. Tickets range from grandstand, Stakes Room, Homestretch Club, to Millionaires Row which includes a full service option of gourmet buffet, private wager stations, and CCTV coverage. Whichever seats you choose, they will be reserved for you on the day of the Kentucky Derby (Saturday).

Ensuring Comfort and Convenience for the Kentucky Derby

To ensure you are comfortable and to make the trip convenient, there will be roundtrip transfers between the hotel and Churchill Downs included. Reserved seating also includes all inclusive food and beverage menu (including Mint Juleps, beer, wine, spirits, non-alcoholic options and concessions.

Adding Exclusive Experiences for the Kentucky Derby

To make the Derby experience truly unforgettable, I recommend exclusive experiences such as a Behind the Scenes Stable Tour, which offers a unique perspective on the event and a glimpse into the world of the Thoroughbreds that compete in the Derby.

There are options for an arrival reception with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails on Thursday with Galt House Packages. If you choose to stay at the Brown Hotel, a farewell brunch will be included on Sunday.
