After flying to Charleston International Airport, you will make the short trip downtown and check in to your hotel. Charleston is a relatively small city. A rental car will not be a necessity unless you plan to venture outside the historic peninsula multiple times during your trip.

Following dinner, you can head to the Honey Hive dessert bar for a night cap or sweet treat before bed!

If you’re feeling adventurous, this is where a rental car would be useful. Drive the 30–40 minutes to Cypress Gardens. The famous scene from the Notebook was filmed here.
