Things to do around Fernando de Noronha
Praia do Sancho & Other Beaches
Ranked as one of the world's best beaches, it's part of the Parque Nacional Marinho de Fernando de Noronha and thus, costs a fee to get in, but the fee will last you your entire visit. You will need to descend a ladder to enjoy the beach, but once you get there, you are guaranteed to never want to leave.
Scuba Dive
Whether you are a seasoned diver or a beginner, Fernando de Noronha is one of the best destinations. There is amazing visibility and you'll encounter some of the most unique species on the planet!
Rent a Dune Buggy
Many places on the island offer rentals for dune buggies, bikes, mopeds and more. The island is best seen this way, as the best destinations are 5–10 minutes of each other.
Hike
There are a range of hikes on the island, whether it's kid-friendly, easy and quick or an all-day moderate trail. You will see birds, lizards and crabs and most trails will offer stunning views.
Visit the Port
While not the most stunning beach, Porto offers visitors convenient lounging, nearby snorkeling, rentals and some simple restaurants for local food and caipirinhas. You can also grab some souvenirs and fresh coconuts from the shops.
Book a Private or Group Boat Tour
Lots of boat tours are available for those who want to explore the island in a different way and see some other snorkel and scuba spots that are inaccessible by foot. Disembark from the port!
Canoe Adventure
Various hotels, in the island's case, pousadas, will offer all sorts of tours, but one of the most unique will be a Hawaiian canoe tour that will take you to all the best beaches and snorkel stops.
Kite Surfing
For the experienced thrill-seeker, there are opportunities for supervised kite surfing adventures that come will all the necessary equipment!
