Arriving in the Port of Ketchikan, Alaska:

Welcome to Ketchikan, Alaska! Check in advance which port your itinerary will dock at, whether it is Ketchikan's primary port in town or the nearby secondary port at Ward Cove. Walking from Ward Cove is not an option and taxis are quite expensive if docked at this port (about $35 to $50), so plan to take the busses provided to get into the town of Ketchikan itself (Ward Cove is mostly utilized by Norwegian Cruise Lines).
