Things to do in Orlando, FL
Explore the Outdoors: Central Florida's sunny, warm climate is one of its greatest treasures. Year-round, Orlando residents flock outdoors to immerse themselves in the city's vibrant botanical gardens, scenic hiking trails and inviting city parks. I recommend taking a leisurely stroll through the enchanting Leu Gardens, renting a Swan Boat for a delightful outing on Lake Eola or spotting manatees at Blue Springs State Park, just a short drive from the city.
Discover our neighborhoods: The essence of any vibrant city lies in its diverse neighborhoods, each offering a distinct flavor that enriches our community. Indulge in wine tasting and boutique shopping on charming Park Avenue in Winter Park. Experience the eclectic bars and exceptional dining scene of Mills 50. Or wander through the quaint downtown of Winter Garden, where a visit to Plant St Market promises a fun food hall adventure.
Find your next favorite treasure: Uncover your next cherished souvenir in Orlando's eclectic shopping scene, where the most memorable keepsakes are often the most unique. Explore the cool vibes of Hellcats USA on Corrine Drive. Peruse the quirky artisan mementos at Freehand Goods in the East End Market or browse through the antique and specialty shops nestled in Ivanhoe Village.
Places to eat & drink in Orlando, FL
Breakfast:
For a morning sugar-fix, start your day with a sweet treat at Shaka Donuts or savor the pastries of Buttermilk Bakery. For a delicious combination of breads, boba and dim sum, don't miss Bakery 1908.
Social Hour:
For well-crafted cocktails, savory snacks and immaculate vibes, visit The Courtesy or The Wellborn. For local beer, I recommend Sideward Brewing Co, a family-owned brewery in the heart of the Milk District (my favorite is Moon Boots).
Dinner:
For the Michelin-rated udon, Zaru is the spot. If pizza is more your vibe, SoDough Square has the best Detroit-style pizza outside, well, Detroit. If you’re looking for great food and great cocktails, try Otto’s High Dive (next to Sideward Brewing) or The Monroe (hint: get the fried chicken).
