Curator’s statement
Port de Sóller, nestled between the Tramuntana mountains and the shimmering Mediterranean Sea, holds a special place in my heart. For our first wedding anniversary, my husband and I took a trip here. We were captivated by the area and our incredible hotel, Jumeriah Port Soller. We found ourselves already planning our next visit before we had even left. The laid-back charm, vibrant culture and stunning natural beauty make it a true gem of Mallorca. Port de Sóller offers an unforgettable experience that captures the essence of Mediterranean bliss. Indulge in a spa day with panoramic mountain views, savor fresh seafood at sunset or take a boat trip to snorkel and visit a secluded restaurant only accessible by sea. This destination holds such significance for us that we even sent my parents there two months later to share in the magic we discovered!

Things to do in Mallorca
Relaxing Spa and Pool Day at Jumeirah Port Soller
Immerse yourself in relaxation with a spa day at Jumeirah Port Soller, an award-winning spa inspired by Mallorca's landscapes. The best massage I’ve EVER had! Unwind in thermal pools overlooking the Tramuntana range before enjoying lunch and drinks by Jumeirah’s adult-only infinity pool with breathtaking Mediterranean views.
Pro tip: get the sushi and a cocktail by the infinity pool!
Boat Day with SailsUpMallorca
Embark on a boat excursion with SailsUpMallorca, our favorite part of our trip! Alvaro is an incredible captain and now friend! He taught us all about the North Coast of the island, brought us to underwater caves and the best coves for snorkeling and paddle-boarding. Then, he got us a reservation at Sa Foradada, a secluded spot accessible only by boat or foot, offering mesmerizing views of the Mediterranean. The seafood paella is a must!
Hiking around Port de Sóller
Explore the picturesque trails surrounding Port de Sóller. From leisurely coastal walks to challenging mountain hikes, there's a route for every level of adventurer. Don't miss the scenic paths that wind through the Tramuntana mountains, offering panoramic views of the coastline.
Day Trip to Surrounding Cities
Venture beyond Port de Sóller to discover the charming towns of Sóller, Valldemossa, and Deia. Opt for a bespoke experience by having the Jumeirah hotel concierge (or your Fora Travel Advisor) arrange a private driver, allowing you to leisurely traverse the picturesque countryside in style. With each stop, immerse yourself in the unique charm of these historic towns, taking a leisurely stroll through Sóller's quaint streets, indulging in shopping and delectable ice cream in Valldemossa. Have lunch at Café Miro in the artistic enclave of Deia. Don't forget to hop aboard the iconic tram from Sóller back to Port de Sóller for a nostalgic journey through the picturesque countryside.
Walk along the Port
One of our favorite things we did was just taking a leisurely stroll along the promenade of Port de Sóller. We soaked in the vibrant atmosphere of this charming coastal village. We admired the colorful fishing boats in the harbor, saw the famous tram ride through the town, browsed the quaint shops selling local crafts and souvenirs and indulged in a refreshing drink at one of the waterfront cafés. You can pop into any of the restaurants easily for a drink or a bite to eat!
Visit Faro de Cabo Gordo Lighthouse
Embark on a scenic journey to Faro de Cabo Gordo, perched atop rugged cliffs overlooking the waters of the Mediterranean. From here, you’ll see breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding landscape from this historic lighthouse, which has guided sailors safely along the shores of Mallorca for generations. Take a leisurely stroll around the lighthouse grounds, immersing yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings.
