Curator’s statement
The Copa America is a prestigious South American football championship traditionally contested among South American teams and hosted by a South American country. However, this year marks an exception as the tournament includes the United States, Canada and Mexico. Similar to European soccer tournaments like the World Cup or the Euros, the Copa America features a group stage, knockout stage, semi-finals and finals. This year, it is being held across various cities in the United States, another deviation from its usual format. Originally slated for Ecuador, the Copa America was relocated due to the host country's withdrawal. In 2023, soccer governing bodies CONCACAF and CONMEBOL formed a strategic partnership, resulting in the decision for the United States to host the tournament.

The Best Way to Attend Copa America
Attending the Copa America is best done through a package deal. I recommend waiting until the Semi-Finals and Finals to witness the most impressive teams. Likely contenders include countries with top-tier players such as the US, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico.
Advantages of Booking a Package to Copa America
Booking a package offers several advantages, including accommodation and dedicated transfers between your hotel and the stadium on match days. Having attended various sporting events like a Champions League match in Tottenham, Wimbledon in England and a F1 race, I understand the challenges of navigating crowded public transport. Some stadiums in the US are located in the suburbs, necessitating longer travel times. Opting for a dedicated transfer reduces stress, ensuring a smoother experience to and from the stadium. Therefore, I strongly recommend booking a package that includes accommodation, stadium transfers and tickets.
In addition to essentials like accommodation, transfers and tickets, packages may also offer add-ons such as VIP match day experiences. For travelers, especially those from overseas, having everything organized in advance alleviates concerns about accommodation availability and ticket procurement.
Why Attend the Copa America Semi-Finals or Finals?
Attending the Semi-Finals or Finals of the Copa America offers a chance to witness history, such as potential matchups like Christian Pulisic from the USMNT against perhaps Lionel Messi in what could be his final Copa America. Being present at such pivotal moments adds significant value to your experience.
