Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting George to book your trip.

Day 1: Athens — Acropolis, history, Plaka stroll

Acropolis surrounded by tourists.

Your Greek islands cruise sets sail from the Athens port, Piraeus. Arrive a day or so earlier and enjoy this ancient city. Visit the Acropolis, of course, but also take some time to explore the other historical sites, like the Temple of Zeus and the Ancient Agora. Make time for a stroll through Plaka, one of the most photographed neighborhoods of Athens with its cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses and beautiful churches.

Day 2: Santorini — Caldera views, Oia and Fira

Santorini Sunset, Greece.

Your first port of call is Santorini, a picture-perfect island known for its whitewashed villages and blue-domed churches. Hike to the top of the caldera for stunning views of the island and visit the villages of Oia and Fira.

Day 3: Rhodes — Old Town, Colossus, beaches

Rhodes Greece.

Next stop: Rhodes. A large island with a rich history and beautiful beaches. Explore the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Acropolis of Rhodes and visit the Colossus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Day 4: Bodrum — Visit Ephesus, ruins

Library of Celsus, Ephesus, Turkey

From Rhodes, you’ll sail to Bodrum on the Southern Aegean coast of Turkey. From here, you’ll have the chance to visit Ephesus, an ancient city that was once one of the largest and most influential centers in the Roman Empire and home to the ruins of the Temple of Artemis - one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Day 5 and 6: Day at sea

Mykonos Windmills, Greece

Your Greek island cruise will continue to Mykonos, best known for its iconic windmills, beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife! Stroll through the colorful houses of Little Venice, take a dip in the clear blue waters of Super Paradise or Elia beaches and end the day with a cocktail watching the spectacular sunset.

Final stop is back in Athens, where the cruise draws to an end. Your Greek vacation doesn’t need to end when you disembark your 7-night cruise. Extend your stay with a few days in Mykonos and unpack a host of Fora perks at any one of my recommended luxury hotels.

Note from George

This Greek island hopping cruise is with Virgin Voyages and I'm a huge fan. Virgin Voyages are exclusively adults-only and I love the laid-back atmosphere, unique onboard experiences, and the luxurious dining options curated by Michelin-starred chefs. I also appreciate that late departures and overnights in most itineraries allow me to explore each port of call in more depth.
