Farms

Rose Hill Farm (Red Hook): Historic family-owned farm renowned for its commitment to sustainable agriculture. It offers a variety of pick-your-own seasonal fruits as well as festivals, pop-up food experiences and farm tours in a picturesque setting.

Westwind Orchard (Accord): A charming, family-owned farm and cidery with a tasting room & outdoor seating. Visitors can also enjoy delicious, farm-to-table pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven, pastas, live music, salsa dancing and more.

Greigs Farm (Tivoli): Visitors can pick blueberries, buy artisanal soap and browse oil paintings.

Arts and culture

Art Omi (Ghent): Arts center and sculpture park that offers visitors a unique experience by blending art, architecture and nature in a beautiful outdoor setting. The center features large-scale sculptures and installations spread across 120 acres of fields and wooded areas, providing an immersive environment

Opus 40 (Saugerties): A monumental sculpture park created by artist Harvey Fite over a period of 37 years. Opus 40 spans about 6.5 acres and features intricate stone pathways, terraces and sculptures, all hand-carved from local bluestone.

Olana State Historic Site: A historic house museum and landscape and former home to Frederic Edwin Church, one of the major figures in the Hudson River School of landscape painting.

Outdoor recreation

Mohonk Preserve (New Paltz): The largest private nature preserve in New York State, spanning over 8,000 acres of diverse habitats, including forests, fields, streams and cliffs. The preserve offers over 70 miles of trails and carriage roads, making it a popular destination for hiking, biking, trail running and horseback riding. The preserve is also a world-class rock climbing destination.

Minnewaska State Park Preserve (New Paltz): Encompassing over 23,000 acres of rugged terrain, featuring dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, dense forests and scenic lakes, including Lake Minnewaska and Lake Awosting. The preserve is a popular destination for hiking, swimming, boating and picnicking.

  • Cooper’s Daughter (Claverack): A craft distillery known for producing high-quality, small-batch spirits using locally sourced ingredients. Their product lineup includes a variety of unique and artisanal spirits such as bourbons, whiskies, gins and liqueurs. The name "Cooper's Daughter" pays homage to the tradition of cooperage, the craft of barrel-making, which plays a crucial role in the aging process of many spirits.

  • Lasting Joy Brewery (Tivoli): With a large selection of craft beers, the brewery offers a welcoming space where guests can enjoy fresh beer on tap, often accompanied by food trucks, live music and other events.
