Places to eat & drink in Oahu, Hawai'i
Honolulu
Side Street Inn: Known for its delicious fried rice, chicken and pork chops, but their poke is also amazing. Rumor has it that local chefs love this place.
Helena’s Hawaiian Food: Open since 1946, Helena’s serves traditional, local Hawaiian cuisine that is loved by locals and tourists alike.
Marugame Udon: Once you sit down to enjoy a bowl of noodles here, you’ll understand why the line to get in is down the block.
Mai Tai Bar: Enjoy a Mai Tai here made with Old Lahaina Rum or any of their variations of this famous cocktail. Located inside the Pink Palace of the Pacific - The Royal Hawaiian Resort.
North Shore
Haleiwa Beach House: After a day of beach and surf, this place has something for everyone.
Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck: A visit to the North Shore wouldn’t be complete without visiting a shrimp truck with garlic shrimp and (now) garlic hot dogs. If you dare, try the “No Refunds” Hot & Spicy Shrimp.
West - Leeward Coast
Mina’s Fish House: Located inside the Four Seasons Oahu, this line-to-table menu with ocean-front seating is like no other.
Makahiki: A Disney character breakfast experience in a Hawaiian setting at the Disney Aulani Resort.
East - Windward Coast
Polynesian Cultural Center Luau: One of the top Hawaiian cultural and dining experiences.
Kalapawai Cafe & Deli: A great spot for a snack, coffee, takeout or dining in with gourmet comfort food and wine.
Day trip
A fun way to experience your own “foodie tour” would be to rent a car and spend a day or two driving around the island, stopping at these places along the way. You never know what hidden gems you’ll find along the way!
