Take Me to Thailand

In December 2022, The White Lotus released the final episode of season 2, which was filmed in Sicily at the Four Seasons’ San Domenico Palace, Taormina. In January 2023, our Italy bookings more than doubled; by May, they nearly quintupled. It’s no surprise, then, that we expect Season 3’s film location — Thailand — to be one of 2025’s hottest destinations.

"The White Lotus" heads to Thailand

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui will welcome the characters of the forthcoming season, which is reportedly scheduled to début in the first half of next year. In typical White Lotus fashion, the details are kept hush-hush. While we await the première, though, a trip to Thailand — whether real or vicarious — is in order.

Four Seasons has taken its White Lotus affiliation in stride, and recently announced an official partnership with HBO Max. Expect a marquee partnership-activation event at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, in Los Angeles, in early 2025. Various other Four Seasons properties will host similar events that bring The White Lotus to life. Watch your back, check your suitcases and be wary of boarding boats.

Don't miss out on these experiences

We spoke with Jasjit Assi, Four Seasons Koh Samui's GM, about what makes the hotel special.

"Our resort is a haven where the beauty of Koh Samui meets the unparalleled service of Four Seasons," he said. "From the exquisite flavors of KOH Thai Kitchen to the rejuvenating experiences at the Secret Garden Spa, every detail is crafted to create moments of connection and serenity."

Here are his can't-miss recommendations.

KOH Thai Kitchen

Get the Tom Yum Goong, the hotel's general manager advised. It's a spicy shrimp soup that "perfectly balances sour and savory flavors." Noodle lovers should get the Pad Thai with seafood, a classic for a reason.

    Pla Pla

Get the grilled lobster and seafood paella at this beachfront hotspot, which showcases the best of the island's bounty. It's relaxed by day and elegant by night. At any time of day, though, the Mediterranean cuisine delivers.

      Private yacht

Charter a yacht to whisk you away to Angthong National Marine Park, where you can kayak amidst limestone caves, snorkel, hike and relax on white-sand beaches.

        Image

        Muay Thai

Learn from experts in an outdoor ring facing the ocean. All levels are welcome. Finish your session with a visit to some of the area's Buddhist temples, like Wat Plai Laem and Wat Phra Yai.

          Image

          Secret Garden Spa

A visit to the spa is mandatory. Get the Secret Night Spa treatment, where you and a companion are treated to four-hand rituals accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls, lava-shell massages by candlelight and a bath infused with coconut and lotus petals.
