Gone are the days when airport lounges were glorified business centers. With more Americans traveling than ever before, airports have had to evolve, upping their game for savvy travelers. And several airlines and credit card brands have risen to the challenge.

A new era of luxury

The Delta One Lounge and Private Suite have taken travel glam to the next level. In New York at JFK, Delta One Lounge recently made an impressive debut, with a wellness area, shower suites and a terrace with a retractable roof. Private Suite launched its first lounge at Los Angeles International Airport and, in 2024, expanded to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. At both locations, guests enjoy exclusive amenities, including private TSA screening, a dedicated terminal, and car service directly to their aircraft.

  • An Admirals Club at PHL will open in Terminal A-West, joining three others located in different terminals.

  • Also in Terminal A-West, a Flagship Lounge at PHL will feature upscale dining, craft cocktails and shower suites.

  • New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5 will add a JetBlue lounge to its offerings in late 2025.

  • With no launch date yet, a JetBlue lounge is promised at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) Terminal C soon after the JFK location.

  • Capital One Landing opened in late 2024 at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Located in Terminal 2 and features dining imagined by Michelin-starred chef José Andrés.

  • Future locations for new outposts of both Capital One Landing and Capital One Lounge include New York's LGA and JFK, as well as Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
