I am an archaeologist who loves to experience history and culture away from the usual tourist sites. I've hiked in the rainy English weather to visit Hadrian's Wall and the humid jungles of Mexico to visit Ek Balam. I have done a lot of solo and group travel. I advocate that a person should go on at least one solo trip in their lives! I love to get off the beaten path by visiting historical sites and trying the local cuisine. I also like to have a relaxing evening to rejuvenate by staying at a luxury hotel and enjoying wellness facilities. I believe that a vacation can combine finding hidden gems in local communities while also ensuring that there is time to relax and recharge in luxury!
