About

After a lifetime of lengthy backpacking adventures abroad and solo travel, I've blossomed into an experienced traveler who now has a husband & kids in tow. Nothing makes me happier than booking the perfect flight, and my best travel advice is to leave a few days unplanned to make room for the unknown adventures yet to unfold.

Travel style

I love finding local hotels that are in the heart of the city, because exploring on foot is one of my favorite ways to learn a new place. I am interested in sustainable travel, and also finding the road less travelled (aka, not having to compete with a thousand other tourists). I will always prioritize the local castle or fort (Salzburg, Bratislava, Edinburgh, Lisbon...). I'm a lifelong vegetarian, and love to find local veggie cuisine. I also love checking out the local wine and beer scenes wherever I'm at. Passing the time with a beer and a game of cribbage is one of my favorite luxuries. I opt for clean but budget friendly over luxury, as I'd prefer to travel longer and make my money stretch further. I'm also always looking for a good playground to keep my kids satisfied.
