Site Inspection at Hotel du Louvre in Paris, France
Curator’s statement

In February 2024, I made my third trip to Hotel du Louvre in Paris, France. The Hotel du Louvre was recently renovated in early 2023 and reopened in the fall. With rooms overlooking the Palais Royale, the Musee du Louvre and just a few blocks away from the Opera Garnier, the Hotel du Louvre offers the perfect location for travelers looking for a romantic hotel to explore Paris.

With a location in the heart of central Paris, the Hotel du Louvre is perfect for Paris sightseeing on foot or by metro. Just steps away from the hotel entrance, travelers can easily connect to metro line 1 or 7 with easy connections within a few stops away. Whether you are coming to Paris for art, fashion, architecture or culture, the Hotel du Louvre is the perfect place to base yourself for exploring the best of Paris.

With a romantic ambiance permeating every space of the hotel, this is the perfect place to spend your honeymoon, anniversary or romantic weekend in Paris. The rooms are bright with understated modern luxuries.

Offering both a bar and restaurant, the Hotel du Louvre offers plenty of options to stay in and enjoy a bit of R&R away from the bustling city. L’Officine du Louvre is cozy and intimate bar with a distinctive personality and a creative cocktail menu. Brasserie du Louvre, with an inspired French menu by Paul Bocuse and decidedly French wine list, offers beautiful views of Palais Royal and the Comedie Francaise.

Need to know

The 1st floor rooms have high ceilings and offer plenty of light during the day. Some 5th floor rooms offer the traditional sloped ceilings that Parisian architecture is famous for. Interior facing rooms receive less natural light but can be quieter. The Hotel du Louvre has put together rooms with great attention to detail and to meet the needs of couples in need of a romantic retreat, as well as families who are looking for an extra special stay! Reach out and let me help you find the perfect room for your trip!
