A Party Onboard Utopia of the Seas
Curator’s statement

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a fantastic cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's newest ship, the Utopia of the Seas. Departing from Port Canaveral — just a quick 50-minute drive from Orlando — this ship is ideal for short weekend getaways. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, a bachelor or bachelorette party or any special milestone, the Utopia of the Seas offers something for everyone in the family. Its vibrant atmosphere and diverse amenities make it the perfect choice for a memorable escape to the Caribbean.

With a total of 18 decks, the ship accommodates around 5,500 guests and features well-loved amenities from Royal Caribbean, such as the Carousel, FlowRider, AquaTheater and Central Park. You will also find exciting new dining and drinking options that elevate your cruise experience. Start your journey at The Pesky Parrot, a vibrant tiki bar that creates the perfect Caribbean mood with its tropical cocktails and lively atmosphere. For a casual bite, head to The Spare Tire, a food truck offering delicious snacks and quick bites to satisfy any craving on the go. For a truly immersive dining experience, make a reservation at The Royal Railway. This specialty restaurant serves a five-course meal featuring American favorites, all set against the captivating backdrop of a vintage train with the sights and sounds of the Wild West. Whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing drink, a quick snack or a memorable meal, Utopia of the Seas has you covered.

For those looking for a relaxing weekend, the Vitality Spa & Fitness center offers amazing treatments to help you unwind. My absolute favorite onboard any Royal Caribbean ship is the Solarium, an adults-only area in the aft of the ship, with whirlpools and lounge chairs overlooking the ocean. Should you want a more upbeat experience, Utopia has you covered! Whether it's a late night party, laser tag or karaoke, the activity options are endless.

Who doesn’t want a perfect day in CocoCay? Indulge in a delicious drink by the pool, take the kids to the water park or relax in Hideaway Beach, CocoCay’s newest beachfront adults-only paradise. Your weekend can be anything you want it to be: a full-on party or a relaxing escape aboard the Utopia of the Seas.

Need to know

This ship will only do short cruises around the Caribbean. Perfect for quick getaways and celebrations. You can easily add a few more days to your vacation by visiting Orlando and its theme parks or exploring the beaches on Florida's east coast.
