Chateau D'Oochy takes your breath away from the minute you step on the property. It is a gorgeous castle located right on Lake Geneva, an exquisite lake half territory to Switzerland and half territory to France. The French Alps are picturesque in the background.

The staff at Chateau D'Oochy immediately makes you feel relaxed, cared for, and like Swiss royalty. They offer a review of their amenities and recommendations for local restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious. I got the best sleep of my life in the bed.

The amenities on the property are fantastic. There is a spa with services that you can book. A restaurant with a delicious menu also offers a wonderful cocktail menu on the terrace with a gorgeous view of the lake. The pool is surrounded by lush garden greens, providing adequate privacy without obstructing the view of the mountains. If you want to take a dip in the lake, it is a short walk to the beach or to the pier where many people choose to jump in. The Olympic museum is a close walk, and the ferry port is also right by the hotel. This allows easy access to the boats that will take you to other nearby cities on Lake Geneva or across the lake to France! After exploring the nearby area, using the amenities or maybe visiting a nearby Swiss wine vineyard, you can slip into your complementary robe and slippers for a comfortable evening.

We went to all the restaurants the hotel staff recommended in Laussane. Le Chalet Suisse and Le Deck are a "must do" for dinner. Le petit coin gourmand is a short walk away from the hotel for breakfast.
