Curator’s statement
One&Only Palmilla is a special property in its lushness — contrasting with Cabo’s usual desert landscape. Hammocks swaying amongst the palms, stairs covered in Spanish tile and walkways lined with flowering hibiscus and elephant ear plants highlight this destination.

The fountain welcomes guests and sets the ambience for the resort.
The resort is easy to navigate by walking paths, with bikes and golf carts available for convenience.
The room: comfortable & well-designed

Casually elegant guest rooms set in welcoming Spanish style.
I’ve stayed in a few different room types over the years, but the Junior Suite is my favorite. The bathroom includes a soaking tub, and the floor plan works well for a small family.
The beach: swimmable & relaxing
One&Only Palmilla has two beaches. Pelican Beach, their swimmable beach, provides complimentary snorkeling and kayaking. I recommend a cabana day during your stay. The One&Only Palmilla beach cabana, with food and beverage service, remains a special highlight of the trip.
The Pools: options for families & adults

Oceanfront loungers near the adult pool.
Agua Pool: Located next to the Agua restaurant, this pool is for families, with an infinity pool overlooking the Sea of Cortez and a lounge-and-play-all-day kind of vibe.
Vista Pool: Located on the other side of the resort, this adults-only pool varies between quiet and lively, depending on the guests. Make sure to snag a complimentary foot massage while relaxing on the loungers.
Dining
Agua Restaurant: Baja-inspired comfort food with a stunning view, located near the family pool.
Breeze Restaurant: Casual, laid-back vibe for fish tacos and the like, by the adult pool.
Seared: Jean-Georges steak and seafood, elegant for a special night out.
Hoshi: A sleek Japanese spot to enjoy an omakase experience.
Suviche: A fun mix of Japanese and Peruvian flavors, serving up inventive sushi and ceviche in a stylish setting.

KidsOnly Club: fun & engaging
I found the KidsOnly staff to be warm and welcoming — they were friends who we looked forward to seeing again and again. Our daughter enjoyed a variety of activities, including pizza and sushi-making classes, tennis and golf lessons, and outdoor movie nights in the most beautiful setting.

Special mention: July 4th sand sculpture contest
I was so impressed with their setup for the family sand sculpture competition, complete with expert builder guidance, shaded areas, refreshments and all the tools needed for a smooth experience.
Special events & celebrations

Celebrating One&Only Palmilla's BUE Festival.
One&Only Palmilla has been the setting for special moments, including our micro wedding, an anniversary trip and a couple of epic Fourth of July celebrations. We also enjoyed their BUE Festival with live music, food carts and a carnival for the kids.
The spa: A relaxing experience
One&Only’s spa offers treatments in private villas with open-air gardens. Each session begins with a foot cleansing ritual before moving into the air-conditioned massage pavilion. Couples can book a shared villa, which includes outdoor rain showers, whirlpool baths and palapa-covered Mexican day beds for lounging while sipping tea and nibbling on fruit. I highly recommend this experience for honeymooners.
Cold plunge & fitness
The gym is beautifully appointed, but my absolute favorite is One&Only Palmilla’s cold plunge (two of them). They are situated outdoors at the spa, seamlessly integrated into the flora.
