Curator’s statement
I just got back from Paris and at the urging of Natalie Stegman, I did a quick site visit of Les Jardins du Faubourg and I am so, so glad I did. It's truly a gorgeous 5-star boutique property right off of rue St Honore in the 8th Arrondissement and I love every single thing about it. The hotel is housed in a former Haussmann townhouse and was fully renovated about three years ago, but still retains all its original character, plus some.

HISTORY
The former home of Nobleman Le Chancelier d'Auguesseay, the building sat empty for many years before the hotel took it over and gut renovated, keeping the gorgeous Haussmanian bones but elevating every space to feel like your own Parisian townhouse.
ROOMS + SUITES
Les Jardins du Faubourg has 36 rooms, including 4 suites in two distinct styles: Parisian or Contemporary. Room categories are:
Superior (22 rooms)
Deluxe
Executive
Suites (4) (some have terraces)
The Parisian rooms are just up the incredibly restored sweeping stone staircase, (the original!), and are all a bit different in their layouts as they kept the original design of the home. But all have high ceilings, original mouldings and lots of natural light. The real kicker is the closet space which is far more generous than you'll find in almost any other Paris hotel of this size. It's actually kind of epic.
As far as decor goes, the Parisian rooms are just that — Parisian, but with a bit of a contemporary twist that somehow just really works to make the rooms cozy and elegant at the same time. All of the furniture is custom, and the artwork has been carefully chosen for each room as well.
There were no Contemporary rooms available to see while I was there, but I am told that they are situated on the other side of the garden and are done in more pastel colors. There is also the Contemporary suite La Villa Faubourg that is on the garden level and has its own private garden.
The bathrooms are also amazing with fantastic tile floors, marble vanities and Nuxe products (IYKYK).
Connecting rooms and twin beds are available on request upon availability and are created with a shared hallway, not a shared door. Suite and executive rooms can sleep 3 with a rollaway bed that has a REAL mattress!
VIP Amenities depend on the room you will choose:
Superior room : Chocolat, fruit juice organic, mineral water
Deluxe room : Chocolat, fruit juice organic, mineral water, macaron LADUREE
Executive room : Chocolat, fruit juice organic, mineral water, macaron LADUREE, red wine bottle
BAR + RESTAURANT
The hotel bar, aptly named The Confidential, is gorgeous, super sexy and incredibly intimate. I was dying to stay for a drink, but at 10am felt that maybe I should not.
The restaurant, La Régalade du Faubourg, has two seating options: inside at the center of the hotel or outside in the most beautiful garden you can imagine (it's covered all winter, so you can enjoy sitting outside any time of year). There are tons of plants and they are incredibly proud of their jasmine plants which are super fragrant and really make you forget you're in such a busy city. The restaurant serves French bistronomic cuisine, which if I understand correctly, is elevated bistro fare. I didn't have the chance to eat there, but I can tell you that I would sell my soul to sip a glass of champagne in that garden on a sunny day.
GYM + SPA
The gym is small but mighty and truly super sleek with a custom Technogym weight machine that is entirely mirrored and is very cool. There's also a treadmill, a bike and an elliptical, which I very much would appreciate after frites, fromage and more frites.
The spa has a steam bath, a sauna, and a 16-meter indoor swimming pool, and treatments are by Shiseido (in fact they are the ONLY Shiseido spa in France, and the company's corporate offices happen to be just across the street). For massages they have one single room and one double room.
The Technogym:
The Confidential Bar
Coffee Setup in each room
Deluxe Room on top floor (4th floor)
the staircase
Nuxe!
Not all bathrooms have a tub, but they are worth the ask
Suite

I am OBSESSED with this floor tile
