A Stay at White Stallion Ranch, Tucson AZ
Curator’s statement

In April, I had the pleasure of visiting an amazing family-owned dude ranch with my BFF.  White Stallion Ranch is an all-inclusive dude ranch that meshes Old-West adventures with a luxurious modern touch.

The Ranch was established in 1900 by the True family, and rooms were built in 1945. This incredible spot was been a host to over 28 movies and 75 televison shows. It has been the actual home of the True family since 1930. White Stallion is on their 3rd generation of the True Family, and is going strong.

Guests can enjoy the unspoiled desert, sit in the spacious lodge with a full bar, enjoy a multi-sports court, visit the fitness center or spa, visit the petting zoo or take a dip in the spacious pool. Guided activities include shooting, archery, hiking, e-bike adventures and daily horseback rides into the desert. Wranglers will show you how to pen or sort cattle.
Southwestern meals are served three times a day, buffet style, with a cook-to-order breakfast menu.

The staff was plenty and very helpful. There is always someone around to ask questions. I liked the way they sorted their adventures. We had an app on our phones, so everyday at 7am we got to choose an activity for the following day! Even if you missed an activity or two, the staff was amazing at making it happen. I am an avid horseback rider, and the e-bike was so much fun. Taking that bike through the desert was such an experience.

We rode horses everyday. We had the same horse for every ride, ensuring our horses did not get over-worked. At the time of my visit, they had 180 horses on the property, and it was simply beautiful.

I highly recommend at least four days to explore this working ranch and utilize all the activities. Please do not touch the Cacti (it is a federal offense and hurts badly). Make sure you bring your boots and your sandals.

White Stallion Ranch was a huge check off my bucket list! I highly recommend it be on your list too! Thank you, True Family. We had such an adventure!
