Curator’s statement
In September of 2023, I did a site inspection while staying at the breathtaking Conrad Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. Conrad hotels are some of my favorite affordable luxury options and the Conrad Dublin certainly lives up to that reputation. This 5-star hotel impresses with its stunning yet relaxed ambiance. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional staff, who consistently deliver remarkable hospitality.

The Conrad Dublin enjoys a prime location in the heart of Dublin's city center with Grafton Street just a 10-minute stroll away, and the lively Temple Bar area is within a 15-minute walk. However, you’ll find Conrad Dublin in a peaceful location adjacent to the beautiful St. Stephen's Green park, offering an escape from the bustling tourist hotspots. Stepping into the lobby, fresh flowers and thoughtful décor (peek at the tree branch light fixtures) create a warm and luxurious atmosphere.
Rooms:
The rooms at The Conrad Dublin are spacious and airy, with large bay windows and stunning marble bathrooms. The hotel offers a variety of room types, including premier kings, twin rooms, one-bedroom suites, furnished balcony rooms, and a breathtaking Presidential suite. Family-friendly options include a limited number of interconnecting rooms, sofa beds in the suites, and cribs available upon request (note that rollaway beds are not available). In-room amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a 48-inch LED TV with premium channels, an iHome Bluetooth docking station, USB charging points, luxurious bathrobes and slippers, a Nespresso coffee machine, nightly turndown service, laundry facilities, and daily housekeeping.
Dining:
The property boasts three restaurants and offers in-room dining for relaxed mornings. The Coburg serves up a delightful mix of modern and traditional Irish dishes and has one of the most substantial breakfast buffets I've ever seen, featuring a wide range of hot and cold options, fresh fruit, locally sourced jams, creams, and even a honeycomb. The Terrace Kitchen & Social House offers a charming outdoor dining area for those rare sunny days in Ireland, as well as an unmissable afternoon tea. My personal favorite, however, had to be Lemuel’s, a literary-themed bar inspired by the Irish classic, Gulliver’s Travels, featuring a stunning metal-inlayed world map on the ceiling and an incredible espresso martini.
Fitness / Wellness:
The fitness center, although small, is decently equipped and open 24 hours. However, I found the picturesque St. Stephen's Green much more enjoyable for a brisk stroll. While there is currently no wellness center or spa on-site, the manager has indicated plans for one in the future. It's also worth noting that there is no pool, but this is common for city properties.
Additional Notes:
For pet owners, the hotel is pet-friendly and offers VIP (Very Important Pet) amenities, welcoming you to bring your furry companions along for your stay.
If arriving by car, the hotel offers paid garage parking (both self and valet). Additionally, there is a convenient on-site Sixt car rental office, making it easy to pick up your rental car for exploration outside of Dublin.
My thoughts:
The hotel's location was unbeatable, situated in a perfect part of Dublin. It was close to the bustling tourist spots, yet far enough away to provide a sense of peace. During my stay, I was consistently impressed by the staff and their genuine warmth, attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond. From the friendly front desk team with their welcoming smiles, to the attentive housekeeping staff that kept the entire property in impeccable condition, and the knowledgeable concierge who shared the best local tips, the entire staff delivered exceptional service. It's this remarkable level of hospitality that has made Conrad Dublin an unforgettable destination.
