Babymoon at Twin Farms in Vermont
Curator’s statement

In October of 2024, while pregnant with my son, my husband and I headed to the beautiful Twin Farms hotel in Barnard, VT. It’s perfect for a nervous parent-to-be, who prefers not to be too far away from their doctors but still wants to enjoy a relaxing luxury vacation as a couple. The staff is incredibly attentive and knows each guest by name. The whole property feels like an upscale, relaxing escape, where you can enjoy fine dining or partake in local activities.

Custom dining experiences:

One of the most unique aspects of Twin Farms is that the staff reaches out to its guests in advance of the stay to understand dietary preferences. Then they create a custom menu for the duration of your stay. This was perfect for a babymoon because my husband was still able to enjoy his rare meat. Meanwhile, I could fill up on all of my favorite pregnancy foods. The sommelier also had a wide selection of non-alcoholic wines to pair with each course of my meal.

Private escape:

Nestled among some of the best mountains in New England, Twin Farms feels incredibly private and secluded. It creates an escape, where it’s easy to unplug.

Luxury rooms:

We stayed in a newly-built “treehouse” which offered an 800sqft private oasis, including modern finishes, a gas fireplace, kitchenette, expansive bathroom and gorgeous view of the foliage.

Portfolio of activities:

There are a variety of group and private activities. We took a fun pasta making class, had a private picnic lunch setup for us by the pond, went on a light hike, took a tour of the foliage on the mountain and enjoyed playing board games by the fireplace. Activities vary by season and can include other options like yoga, mountain golf, garden tours or painting. The onsite spa has a variety of treatments, including prenatal offerings. If you’re looking to venture off-property, the hotel is nearby to Woodstock, Vermont, which has cute shops and restaurants.

Need to know

If you’re looking for a domestic babymoon location, Twin Farms offers a luxury retreat, inclusive of dining and amenities. It’s a perfect spot to spend time as a couple.
