Curator’s statement
In February 2024, I did a site inspection while staying at the whimsical Wilder Townhouse in Dublin’s city center. This boutique property is nestled just a few blocks south of St. Stephen’s Green making it the perfect base for exploring the vibrant city of Dublin.

Despite its boutique size (just 42 rooms), The Wilder Townhouse has a vibrant, charming personality. From whimsical wallpapers to plush furnishings and a rotating art display in common areas, the ambiance seamlessly combines comfort with luxury.
My stay in the Deluxe Townhouse Room was perfect. I loved the ample space, colorful furnishings and the immaculate cleanliness - all the details were spot on including the playful teacups and prints that decorated the room. The bathroom, complete with a deep soaking tub and bathrobe, provided a perfect retreat for relaxation.
The Wilder Townhouse has a diverse range of rooms, making it the perfect spot for a group with different budgets. From the cozy "shoe box" rooms (for those who appreciate high-end accommodation but don’t need extra space), to the two amazing suites with luxurious sitting areas – there truly is an option for every traveler. I think one of the suites would be perfect for a small family- the sitting areas felt so home-y! A perfect spot for kids to unwind or parents to regroup after a day of sightseeing. This extra space makes the suite feel much more like high-end apartment than a hotel room.
The personalized attention from the staff was exceptional- from grabbing a quick drink at the bar or indulging in a scrumptious breakfast- I felt more like a personal guest than one of the many visitors who come through the doors. (Breakfast is included with SLH perks of course!)
Speaking of breakfast, the buffet is a masterpiece - there was a meticulously prepared array of options - breads, cereals, fruits, yogurt, meats and cheeses - truly something for everyone! They also offer amazing made-to-order breakfasts- the staff had the highest-level attention to every detail of my order!
The restaurant has the same charm as the rooms- with its cozy nooks, delightful prints, and fresh flowers, it feels like your own (very well decorated!) pied-a-terre. During warmer months, breakfast is also served on the open patio - it's like you’ve found your own garden in the city.
The Wilder Townhouse is a true haven in the heart of Dublin, combining exquisite design, personalized service, and a prime location. The Wilder offers a true “experience” that goes beyond just wonderful accommodations– it's a taste of Irish hospitality, a fresh aesthetic and a delightful introduction to this vibrant city!
Need to know
This is a smaller property and feels like your own spot in the city. Because it is a boutique property, note that there is not a gym, spa, or large common area. (Of course, if you're out exploring all day, you won't miss these elements at all!)
