Getting There and Getting Around:

Ischia is conveniently located just a 45-minute ferry ride from Naples, making it an accessible escape from the mainland. Once on the island, the best way to explore is by foot or by renting a scooter, as the buses can be crowded and unreliable. However, be prepared for the occasional adventure, as the island's winding roads and picturesque alleys add to the charm.

Explore Forio:

Nestled on the western side of the island, Forio is a charming town that exudes a laid-back vibe and authentic Ischian character. Stroll through the narrow streets lined with colorful houses, quaint shops and lively piazzas where locals gather to socialize and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Forio's main square, Piazza Santi Vito e Modesto, is a vibrant hub surrounded by cafes and restaurants, making it the perfect spot to people-watch while savoring a refreshing granita or a strong espresso. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the town's iconic Chiesa del Soccorso, a beautiful church perched on a rocky promontory, offering stunning views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Forio is also home to several beaches, including the popular Chiaia Beach, where you can bask in the sun, swim in the crystal-clear waters or indulge in fresh seafood at one of the beachside restaurants.
