Legoland Florida vs. Legoland UK: The Ultimate Family Fun Vacation Destination

Curator’s statement
Legoland is such a great product for families, their amusement parks offer great options for kids (and adults) of all ages. But more impressively, their resort hotels offer a unique layout specifically designed for families with young children in mind. There was around-the-clock entertainment, unique room layouts featuring a separate bunk bed area for the kids and of course, legos everywhere. I was able to visit two resorts across the pond from each other within the same month, and here are my thoughts about them all around.

Legoland UK (Windsor)
Only an hour drive (or train) from London, just outside Windsor, lies Legoland UK. The first Lego Theme Park (and resort) I visited. Being a Disney parks die-hard, I must say I had little expectations from it, but I also had two toddlers to entertain. So, bear my surprise when Legoland turned out to be an incredible experience.
The theme park is planned out thinking of kids of all ages, offering very cool rides for both little and tall. But that is not the only thing that impressed me much. It was their hotel resort, too. Just steps away from the rides, you can check into a fully immersive experience.
There are Legos all around, a playground in the middle of the main floor, unique party elevators and hosting entertainers on schedule at all times. This hotel offers some very cool features like entire floors and rooms with different themes (pirates, knights, princesses, you name it). Most importantly, it has amazingly expansive rooms that feature a separate area just for kids, with bed bunks, their own TV and even sets of legos for them to play with.
Legoland Florida:
Just three hours north of Miami (a 20-minute drive from Orlando), lies the Legoland Resort Florida. While the hotel is just as amazing and fun as the one in Windsor, the pool area with big slides is better in this one to be honest. However, about the park itself, I think Windsor is a little bit bigger and better kept.
Legoland Florida not only features Legoland, but also a huge water part and Peppa Pig World. This was an adorable little park with rides safe for all, character meetups and an amazing splash park for the tiniest ones. This was such a nice surprise, especially if you have toddlers.
Overall, I think the Legoland Resort product is a great (and cheaper) option for a fun, immersive vacation that your family can enjoy, no matter the age.
