Where to stay

Edinburgh

Emma and Dex first meet at a graduation party on their last day at University of Edinburgh. The next day, they hike Arthur’s Seat for spectacular views and fresh air. A short walk from The Old College is the Virgin Hotel, in the historic India Buildings and the heart of the Old Town, the hotel has views of Edinburgh Castle and is close to Vennel Steps and Holyrood Park, making it easy to retrace the couple’s itinerary.

Rome

Dexter joins his parents in the Eternal City and wanders the bustling streets of Trastevere with his mother. Filming locations included two beautiful hotels so visitors can enjoy the same spectacular views with a stay at the Bio Hotel Raphael, 100ft from Piazza Navona or the Boutique Hotel Campo de’ Fiori, next to a typical Roman piazza with a food market by day and bars and restaurants at night.

London

Emma and Dex make the most of a long summer evening on Primrose Hill. Stay at the recently renovated Melia Hotel & Resorts Albany Street, Regent’s Park and enjoy proximity to Camden Town and Regent’s Park. If Soho is more your thing, retrace the steps of Dex’s media career and stay at The Soho Hotel, 4 Richmond Mews, a luxury boutique hotel on a quiet street in the heart of this buzzing central London location. The hotel is close to Quaglino’s, filming location for Em and Dex’s disastrous evening at “Pacific” but real-life location of live music and delicious food and cocktails. If happy to venture to Zone 3, book a swim at Charlton Lido’s Olympic-sized, heated outdoor pool or visit Walthamstow, home to Emma and Tilly’s flat share. Enjoy a walk in Lloyd Park or spend a few hours in the William Morris Gallery, the only public gallery devoted to the designer, craftsman and radical socialist. As a “bourgeois fascist” it is not clear that Dex’s dad would approve, Hertfordshire’s Hatfield House is probably more his thing. This Grade 1-listed property built in 1611, is the filming location for Tilly’s wedding (and also Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte, Paddington and Oscar winner, The Favourite).

Paros

Emma and Dex go on holiday to the stunning Greek Island of Paros for care-free days, crystal-clear waters, skinny-dipping, whitewashed buildings and beautiful sunsets. The Parilio resort offers a slightly more luxurious take on their experience.

Paris

Dexter visits Emma in Paris. Filmed in the 13th Arrondissement, retrace their walk along Rue Pierre Semard and on the Passerelle Emmanuelle Riva bridge. Or be inspired by Dex’s trip with Sylvie and experience luxury at the Four Seasons Hotel George V.
