Curator’s statement
In June of 2024, the Four Seasons team invited me to come experience the Four Seasons Resort Nevis. This is a charming resort that I would recommend whole-heartedly to anyone: couples, families with young kids, families with older kids, friends. It may require a little more effort to get there, but it’s worth it. It’s luxurious but comfortable and very low-key. With a mix of hotel rooms and suites, and a range of private villas, there are accommodations to suit every need. The island is rustic and beautiful. And the resort has a real soul and character, which you feel from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.

GETTING THERE:
Nevis is a small island in the Caribbean and together with neighboring island St. Kitts, comprise the singular nation state of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. To get to Nevis, you must fly into St. Kitts. From the US, there are flights to St. Kitts from Miami, Charlotte, Atlanta, New York and Newark. Upon landing in St. Kitts, you will be met at the airport by a Four Seasons representative who will tag and take your bags, drive you the 15-minutes to the harbor, and a boat will ferry you ~20 minutes to the island of Nevis. When you pull up to the private Four Seasons harbor at the Four Seasons Nevis, a line of Four Seasons staff will be smiling and waving, welcoming you to the property.
RESORT OVERVIEW:
The Four Seasons Nevis sits on 350+ acres and strikes the perfect balance of being completely low-key and relaxing, yet having plenty to do for everyone. Service is outstanding and genuinely friendly. The resort sits on Pinney’s Beach, an extremely calm stretch of the Caribbean, and has a beach activities shack offering snorkeling gear, kayaks and paddle boards. There is tennis (hard court, clay and astro turf), pickleball, 18-hole golf course, Kids Club, two pools (one family and one adults only) and a beautiful spa with cold plunge pool and hot tub. Nevis is a small, rustic and beautiful island with Nevis Peak, a dormant volcano, prominently visible from all throughout the resort. There are 3-4 monkeys for every person on Nevis and you will see the monkeys throughout your stay (especially at sunrise and sunset). There are 5 restaurants and bars at the resort and food is consistently great.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
There are 189 guest rooms and suites spread across several two-story buildings. Rooms face either the beach or Nevis Peak. There are plenty of connecting room options that can be guaranteed at time of booking. There are also a handful of 1-bedroom suites with sofa beds. In addition to the guest rooms and suites, there are 40 villas that are perfect for groups and families. The Villas are all individually owned so the design, style and set-up of each of them is unique. Talk with your Travel Advisor to make sure you get the right villa for your specific needs and tastes.
THINGS TO DO:
During our stay in Nevis we were able to enjoy some wonderful activities on the island:
Snorkeling/boat excursion
A tour with Nevis Sun Tours is a MUST. We did an Alexander Hamilton Island Tour but they offer a range of tours from Food Tours to Rum Tours to Pottery Classes.
There are a handful of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the resort and Sunshine’s is highly recommended as the perfect Caribbean beach bar. They are famous for their version of a rum punch, The Killer Bee.
You are able to hike Nevis Peak but it is a challenging hike that requires a guide, ~ 4-6 hours and lots of pulling yourself up/down via a rope. The hike does get wet and muddy and the top is often enshrouded in cloud cover.
