Curator’s statement
In May 2024, I had the opportunity to conduct a site inspection at the Royal Mansour Marrakech while traveling in Morocco. The hotel is stunning and its hospitality is impeccable. It is without doubt one of the most luxurious five-star hotels in the world as well as Marrakech.

Situated in Hivernage, within the walls of Marrakech’s medina, between a public park and the Koutoubia Mosque, the hotel is just a 10-minute transfer from Marrakech Menara International Airport. You can walk from the hotel to the main square, Djemaa el-Fna, and the souks in just 15 minutes. The hotel is so discreet that it remains invisible until you pass the security cordon and enter beneath the impressive triumphal arch. Despite being located in the center of Marrakech, it feels tranquil and peaceful, as if you are far away from the city's hustle and bustle.
Riads category
There are no traditional rooms at the Royal Mansour Marrakech. Instead, you stay in your own private riad. It's like a hotel within a hotel. With 53 private riads divided into five categories, ranging from one to four bedrooms, each riad is designed to offer a unique experience. Every detail, from the original works of art and custom-made furniture to the mix of traditional Moroccan fabrics, contributes to making each riad truly special.

The riads range in size from 140 square meters to 1,800 square meters, each with its own private entrance, terrace, plunge pool and even an elevator. During the site inspection, I visited the Prestige Riad, one of the most exclusive riads available at the hotel.
The Prestige Riad ranges 840 square meters over three floors. On the ground floor, you'll find a courtyard with a fountain and a small garden, a Moroccan lounge, a library, a living room, a professional kitchen, a dining room and an elevator. The first floor features three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and dressing room — the main bedroom includes an additional bathroom. Last but not least, the rooftop terrace is incredible. It includes a lounge area equipped with a plunge pool, sunbeds, a fireplace and an outdoor dining area hosted by your own personal butler. There's also a private spa where you can enjoy hammam rituals, and the rooftop offers panoramic views of Marrakesh and the Atlas Mountains. The private courtyard and rooftop terrace are my personal favorites, providing serene spots to unwind in complete privacy.

Services and facilities
The Royal Mansour Marrakech offers a range of world-class facilities designed to provide guests with an extraordinary experience. Starting from the reception lounge, which is a beautifully designed Moroccan courtyard, the setting is simply impeccable. Surrounding the lounge, there is a boutique where you can find unique pieces created exclusively for the hotel. The hotel has five restaurants, offering a variety of cuisines including traditional Moroccan, Italian, French and an open-air Asian restaurant. For those seeking something more exclusive, private tables are available, promising an intimate and discreet gastronomic experience.
The Royal Mansour Marrakech Spa is truly a masterpiece, blending elegance with an overwhelming sense of serenity. From the moment you enter, you’ll be instantly enveloped by a wave of relaxation. With the color and design, the sound of the water fountains, the smell of aromatic fragrances, it’s just amazing in all senses. The treatments are tailored to perfection, whether you’re indulging in a traditional hammam or a more contemporary wellness therapy. It’s one of the most extraordinary wellness experiences, offering a perfect balance of Moroccan tradition and modern indulgence.
The outside swimming pool is a stunning oasis of calm, surrounded by gardens and elegant sun loungers. It feels like a hidden paradise, offering the perfect place to relax under the Moroccan sun. Also, if you want something a little more private, there are also lounges with dining space, tv, bathrooms, sunbeds and more, which is perfect if you’re traveling with kids. Speaking of kids, the Kids’ Club is a fantastic space, providing a welcoming and creative environment for children of all ages. They offer a range of activities, from arts and crafts to outdoor play in the beautifully landscaped gardens.
The staff at the Royal Mansour Marrakech are exceptional, from the moment you arrive. They are attentive and professional, making you feel like a valued guest without ever being intrusive. Their attention to detail is remarkable whether it’s remembering your preferences, offering thoughtful recommendations or anticipating your needs before you even ask.
