Discovering Charm and Comfort: An Unforgettable Stay at Casa Monti Roma
Curator’s statement

In October of 2024, I had the pleasure of staying at the new Casa Monti Roma to end my two-week trip to Italy. My expectations of the property were quickly met upon arrival after a warm greeting from the friendly staff. Everything from the location, the playful design and the amazing service made my stay unforgettable. I look forward to visiting again one day!

Located in the heart of Rome, this family-owned Querido property is walking distance to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. The neighborhood is one of the oldest in Rome, currently filled with local artists, restaurants and cafes. I found it very easy to get around and walk from the hotel.

This property has 26 guest rooms and 10 suites, each uniquely designed and well-thought out. I felt very at home the moment I stepped inside the room. I loved the playful design, yet it felt very elegant, cozy and homelike. The soaps and lotions supplied are from Susanne Kaufmann, with natural alpine ingredients from Austria and Switzerland.

Casa Monti has its own restaurant, lobby bar and rooftop terrace on property. At check-in, I was welcomed with a refreshing drink at the bar. I ate the traditional Cacio e Pepe at the restaurant, enjoyed a lovely breakfast and a late-night dessert, with espresso, of course! All dining sites had exceptional service and a good ambiance.

I also walked to many restaurants in the neighborhood, with Il Girasole being a top favorite!

The spa was beautiful and the best part is that the jacuzzi is included in your room rate. I had to take advantage of this for a relaxing moment after walking around the city all day.

The cherry on top of everything is the excellent service provided by their friendly and welcoming staff. The front desk quickly made us feel at home, and by the time I left, I felt like I was saying goodbye to my friends! Housekeeping did an amazing job and also left a thoughtful gift at turndown service.
